“Needed an air compressor to top up a tyre that was running low. Couldn’t immediately see one, but asked inside and the staff member gave us a nozzle to use one around the back. Free-of-charge, which is unheard of where I’m from!”

“Sure liked the food at the Port Washington Food Truck beside Southridge Farms. Had a Greek Chicken Pita and Peanut Chicken Salad. Very tasty and good sized portions. Very nice lady served us. Open Tues - Sat 11 AM to 2:30 PM”
“Good selection of wine and beer. They have drum tabacco and papers. Everything you need to make a great pasta dinner from sauce to garlic, peppers and Italian sausage or a big dish of perogies. They also carry Ben and Jerry's icecream. Staff were very friendly.”
“Country grocer is a gem! The produce is stellar and so fresh and of high quality. The staff are helpful, interested and happy. There is great sellection. You can find bargains if you look every week. I love how if you put your receipt in a local charity choice, they donate in the store, country grocer donates 1% of your purchase. What also makes country grocer a further standout (above whole foods abd others), is they offer pick up and drop service vs. Delivery. Nancy the driver is a superstar! And i love how country grocer also offers its staff kudos (where customer put in thei acknowledgements and the staff names going into a draw for a country grocer gift card. Even better on tbe end of each receipt, there is an entry form for customers! Well done country grocer! When will you be coming to vancouver?”
“My husband and I were visiting from the lower mainland staying at the Galiano Spa and Resort we had a kitchen so thought we need a few groceries. We have never been to Galiano Island so ended up at Daystar Market. ❤ the store is like Famous Foods in Vancouver. Good food good selection a little pricey but we're on the Island lol got my favorite Avalon Dairy milk. ??”

“Great Manager in Mike Gray, even tempered and fair by all accounts. Like everywhere, difficult to staff, but appears to be running smoothly. Pleasant cashiers, helpful deli, butchers and produce departments. Good selection,and many specials in the weekly flyer.”
