“Great little store. The moment you walk in you're welcomed. The two women working today (Sunday) allowed us to walk around with the copper bracelets on to decide if we wanted to purchase them or not. (We did). The longer we stayed the more we bought. Pricing was fair. Not cheap but wasn't expensive either. Lots of books and journals to choose from. Incense and candles aplenty. You definitely wont leave empty handed. Support this little shop. The owner deserves it!”

“Stumbled across this shop today, on Free Comic Book Day! What a great store, very well organized, no funky smell, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A lot of great board games and table top accessories. Plus they had the largest selection of Free Comic Books I have ever seen! And Iv’e been to some in much larger cities and they put those to shame. I forgot to count but it seemed like at least 40 titles, plus they even had out some card packs! Can’t wait to go back.”

“I have lived in this neighborhood for decades and have visited many alternative bookstores in the area, including this location. For many years, my experiences here have always been positive, but today’s exceptional experience truly made a lasting impression on me. I had an issue during a purchase where the situation itself was no one’s fault, but I was understandably upset. Aaron, the store manager, immediately de-escalated the situation through his professional, respectful, and genuinely friendly approach. He took the time to listen to me, showed genuine empathy, and explored every possible option to help resolve the issue. In the end, he was able to find a solution that I was very happy with. However, what impressed me most was that I am certain I would have felt equally satisfied even if he had not been able to resolve the issue. His willingness to listen, understand, and treat me with respect made all the difference. Throughout the entire experience, I felt respected and welcomed by Aaron and by all the staff members. That level of customer service is something I truly appreciate and will remember. Even if it means paying a few extra dollars or driving an extra mile to come here, this Chapters will now be my first choice. “I don't buy Korean books often, but when I bought them in the past, I had to buy them from US. Buying them directly from Korea is very difficult as I do not have any Korean identification. After Han Kang received the Novel prize, I had to read her books in Korean, and I accidentally discovered this store. They ordered books they don't have in inventory to Korean publisher, and they shipped them to me in timely manner. When Canada Post went into strike, they quickly switched to UPS and shipped the books to my home. I will definitely buy more Korean books from this store in future.”
“The Capilano University Bookstore has a lovely assortment of branded giftware (lapel pins, bracelets, tie bars necklaces, etc), apparel (sweatshirts, t-shirts, athletic wear), and beautiful artisan creations. “I had such a wonderful experience at Coles in Lougheed Mall, thanks to Nicky! I was looking for a sound book for my little boy, but I couldn’t find it anywhere in the store. I asked Nicky for some help, and she was incredibly kind and patient. She took the time to look for the book for me and successfully found it. I also asked if they had any blue-colored toy cars for my boy. Instead of simply telling me what was available, Nicky went above and beyond. She brought out a box containing the toy cars and showed me all the options so I could see the different colors and styles. She was so friendly and helpful throughout the whole process and never made me feel like I was bothering her. As a parent shopping for a child, I really appreciated how attentive and thoughtful she was. Her kindness and willingness to help made the shopping experience so much easier and more enjoyable. Barnes & Noble is proving that physical bookstores aren't going anywhere. The retailer just opened three new locations across Texas and South Carolina, marking another step in its comeback story. Barnes & Noble opened 57 stores in 2024 alone - more than it had opened in the entire decade from 2009 to 2019. The company isn't slowing down either, with plans to open more than 60 new stores in 2025 and a goal of reaching over 1,000 stores nationwide in the coming years.
