“Wonderful staff, clean, and good quality products from Taiwan and Japan. More and more inventory coming every month after soft opening a few months ago. Go and support local! Also Taiwanese Braised Pork Belly Over Rice (台湾控肉饭) at La Win Supermarket .. fantastic value at $9.90 only! Unreal. Also very good glutinous rice wrap & fresh sushi. They also gave curry rice. Everything made in-store and fresh. Lots of great frozen food products . Hidden gem”

“Decent place to get groceries. But, they could be on the expensive side for the non asian stuff. I really like the freshly cooked food that you can by based on weight. A good choice to get nice affordable food.”

“This is a cute little family run operation. They are super friendly and helpful. You can get snacks, drinks, flowers and plants. I usually go here for my post office needs. I have never had a problem with posting packages, registered mail, etc.”

“I usually have such a great experience coming here. However, this time I was very irritated in the mannerisms of a young Filipino cashier and the way she was speaking to the elders in front of us whilst checking out their things. Within her interactions with her customers she not once smiled and failed to make anyone feel welcome. She had very little patience and shut them down immediately when they asked her a question that took 2 seconds to answer, instead of trying to help. I ended up helping them which they were very thankful for, however it is so disappointing to imagine somebody else speaking to my parents the same way she did and not be there for them. Please be more patient with people especially if they haven’t invoked any type of aggression towards you and have done nothing but approach you with generosity. It is very hard to want to return if the cashiers are going to behave this way towards other immigrants. Truly disheartening.Edit: I appreciate their customer service team in making an effort to apologize to the elders— not many would go the extra mile to do so which I really commend.”

“Tim is one of the nicest guys people I’ve met. Ive been going to this corner store for 2-3 years now. Everytime i don’t have enough he always get money from his tip jar and pays the rest. If I could rate more I would.”

“I've had "Black salt" on my shopping list for a year now. Just found it at Royal Farm Market (apparently new owners for over a year now - embarrassed I only now noticed the new name). Shockingly diverse range of groceries - Indian spices, Chinese sauces, Mexican at great prices. Like shopping more locally vs the big box stores.”

“Great market to get produce a good price. I like to cook Mexican food, so I usually buy here nopales, tomatillos, jicamas, and serrano peppers. Also, they have products, mostly Chinese, but they carry as well Mexican items as salsa, tostadas, beans etc.Good service! ?”

“Staff here are very friendly and the selection is decent. Sure, it’s not the most amazing supermarket in the world but it’s the experience and atmosphere that is really nice. Few supermarkets like this where you feel there is a sense of community and people enjoy coming.”

“It's close to the community center. It's convenient for me to buy groceries after swimming and buy Chinese ingredients for cooking. The price is not too expensive.”

“Tip: when you’re in need of a quick bite or some food before a movie in the theatre nearby!Convenient grocery store to grab a variety of snacks and food and ready to eat foods.Sorry not the prettiest photos - we were too hungry! Got the Italian sub, and the pulled pork sandwich, and also chicken noodle soup. They heated it up for us and it was actually very yummy and tasty! The pulled pork had juices running. They have other soups, butter chicken, curry, sushi and a bunch of other foods available too!Service at the food counter is just okay.. but hey, the food is made properly I’m happy.”

“Sunrise has grown up. It has many of the trappings of a "real" supermarket, yet retains the "corner store" (which it is, literally) quality and super-low prices coupled with an amazing variety of product. Since I cook for charity I'm also looking both for good value and food-service-sized canned goods; they've got both.I'm delighted that with their most recent remodel there's a lot more aisle space. You can still be friendly with your fellow shopper, but you don't HAVE to be anymore...”

“My go to grocery store as it’s the biggest Asian market in downtown area. Produce is fresh, meat is not bad, I love the snacks selection here, price is okay. They also reimburse the parking ticket.”

“It’s a nice little market and it’s close too. It even has some meat like chicken, and ground beef…. Lots of fruits ? ? ? and a wide variety of vegetables ? ?? , and dairy ? ? cereal’s, bread even canned food…. It’s a Asian market mostly but it’s been renovated and has lots of other foods now…. And prices are reasonable. I’ve been going there for about 23 years now. The staff is nice and helpful. I go there a couple times a month. It does close earlier though…. By 6 pm it’s closed. But yeah check it out for 20 bucks I can get 2-3 bags of stuff depending what I get. Be back soon ?”

“Has some of the best hot pot meat, from beef, to chicken, and pork out there, the taste is worth it. The produce there is much sweeter and higher in quality than some other places as well!”

“Great place for fruits and veggies in the hood. Prices are ok but worth it as quality is pretty good. Haven't tried the take out food yet. Not sure how it compares to Kent's but I will stick to Kent's as I know what I'm getting there.”

“As I don't live in the Vancouver area I don't come here often. Every time I have had to vist children's hospital for my son who is in a wheelchair I have found it to be a pleasant experience. Kind staff, brightly light and always clean. Though I am not HUGE on Starbucks, it is nice they have one in store so if needed I can grab a coffee. We all know food is getting more and more expensive every day, though I have found that Safeway in general isn't nearly as expensive as other places, plus the quality and freshness at this location is very high.My last visit I was traveling with my son and his twin sister, halfway on the 25 bus to get to the hospital she had to use the washroom. When we made it to the stop across from the Safeway things were very stressful as she is only 5 and had to hold it in for a while. We rushed as fast as we could from the bus stop JUST to use the washroom as I knew she wouldn't make it until we got to the hospital. When inside we found the public washroom occupied. Panic really set in as I had no change of clothes and we were two busses and a skytrain away from home. Right when I legit thought all hope was lost an employee came by and noticed the problem, I just told her it was a potty emergency and she let my daughter into the staff female washroom- this really saved us! The only casualty was underwear that got a little soiled, that I only had to throw out underwear and that employee saved my daughter from a possible embarrassing situation will always stick in my head. I wish I took note of her name, but in my panic I didn't think to read the name tag. Thank you dear lady for helping my daughter on the 30th of October around 1pm. I hope you get only good things coming your way!”

“I've been shopping here for 15 years and it's my go-to place for fresh Asian vegetables and oranges. Their produce is way cheaper than anywhere else in the neighbourhood. It's not the highest quality produce and depending on which day of the week you go shopping, you might have to do a bit of picking to get the good ones. Still, I like coming here because the staff are quite friendly and it's a nice and quick in/out shopping experience.”
