“Bought a stained shirt from the dollar rack today for work, along with about $45 worth of other purchases. I'd love to see this rack expanded! I'm environmentally conscious but my job destroys clothing, so I'm constantly looking for cheap clothes with "imperfections" that I can extend the life of without worrying about spending a fortune on replacements or excess contributions to the landfill. A large dollar rack with a changing selection of imperfect clothing, towels, etc. would certainly attract more paying customers to your store!”

“On behalf of my wife who visits regularly, I do occasionally. She always finds something she didn't know we needed to wear, to use.I think she just likes a bargain and enjoys chatting with the lady volunteers. Space is a little tight but it's because there's always lots of things to choose from. Too bad they're closing at the end of January '23. The building is being torn down I believe. A loss for North Vancouver.”

“Brought some clothes here to sell, the staff gave me a decent amount for my regular clothes and recommended me another store to take my more designer items for better value. Love seeing that honesty and support for fellow small businesses. I’ll be coming back!”

“I love the vibes of the store. great choice of jackets (most a little too big for me) but lots of choices for boots, leather (oh lots of leather), and good choice of gloves. highly recommended!”

“What a great store! I found a beautiful high-end dress still with a tag on for $10! Most importantly thr staff is great. When I called to report a missing wedding band, they checked the fitting rooms and took my phone number. In the end it was at home but this attitude meant a lot! Thanks”

“What a great store!! I just happened to walk by, and walked out with 5 beautiful pieces for less than $70 total. The selection is really fantastic, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the prices are great!”

“They have a 50% off promotion today, so I am happy to get three items for $27: one Banana Republic jacket, one dress, and one top.

I left my cell phone in the fitting room and thanked for the nice person picking it up and leaving it at the cashier.

Staff were so helpful, especially the store had three fitting room and a chair in front of each, so you could sit and wait for the room, very thoughtful?”

“I enjoy popping in here every so often to have look. I have found some really great finds here but like all thrift/vintage stores it’s hot or miss. I like that this store gives back to the DTES, the community it’s in, through donating to PHS or Indigenous programs. The store also has a selection of local artists art like cards, paintings, pottery, patches, etc. the store is in the small side which is kind of nice because it’s not so overwhelming and is perfect for popping into every now and then to browse.”

“My friend and I were in this store recently and both left with something we loved. She bought a gorgeous lamp and I scored a beautiful faux fur trimmed cape in a Merlot red colour . It was my early birthday present from my friend. Lovely staff and so very friendly. Their displays are very well done. We will definitely be going back!”

“Great curated second hand shoe section and I love that the proceeds all go to the Chinatown Foundation. Can feel good about making a sustainable and beautiful purchase! I will be coming back to shop and donate.”

“This store has a wide variety of styles and leans on the vintage side having lots of older styles. This is for women only and they also have a selection of jewelry from local artists. The store is kind of fun and sorts items by clothing type - shirts, skirts, dresses, jeans, pants, etc. so if you need something specific they make it easy to find.”

“Very nice little shop. I’ve gone here every once in a while and I always find amazing things here. Everything is very well priced. The lady at the front desk has always been quite respectful and offers me reusable/drawstring bags to hold my purchase.Do keep in mind that she will ask you to have your bag behind the counter as it is to prevent shoplifting.Thank you for a great experience, I’ll be back soon! <3”

“Lillian really came through for us with a request for a very small teak dining table with leaves. And she has her own mover who delivered everything with care. It is absolutely what we had hoped for at a reasonable price.”

“I was a customer turn supporter. Used to find lots of beautiful things there. James, the friendly manager, became a friend. I moved away from the neighbourhood in 2019. I still go back not to shop (I’m downsizing) but to donate. There is no better feeling than supporting our local hospitals.”

“Hands-down my favourite second-hand shop around town! Prices are reasonable, and while their clothing selection is smaller than Value Village down the street, the selection always seems better (plus, unlike VV, they have change rooms). I always manage to find exactly what I'm looking for. Plus, their books are only $2, so it's hard to resist stocking up the bookshelf. There are always interesting finds in the basement, and they have a great selection of good quality vintage wear. Amazing gem of a second hand store!”

“This is literally the BEST thrift store, hands down, that I’ve ever been to. Like every thrift store needs to follow this stores example. The clothes are always clean, they’re organized, usually super cute, and the prices are A+. They even do 50% off sales of certain sections like all the time, not sure if it’s weekly or how often, but every time I go in here there’s a sale going on. Like please let nothing happen to this place or its owners because they are doing an absolutely fantastic job. I’m so lucky to live in the area, and I will continue to support this place for as long as they stay just as amazing as they are. Thank you for not falling into greed like 90% of other thrift stores. Your community appreciates you. ❤️”

“I love this store but could you please update your hours online when you’re going to be closed so I don’t come all the way down there? Currently you’re closed Monday’s until sept 17, it would be great if you could update online hours to reflect this.”

“I’ve probably visited every thrift store in the Lower Mainland and this is one of the great small local ones which benefits a good cause. All proceeds go to the Canadian Mental Health Association and the store is staffed by very kind and friendly volunteers. There is one large change room with two mirrors in the back corner. Beautiful selection of jewelry. I would say the only thing that could be improved is that the clothing is not sorted by size. They are separated by tops vs bottoms and men vs women but otherwise you have to dig! I guess that’s part of the fun! The prices are extremely reasonable and I came out with two dresses and a few tops for $20.”

“I'm surprised I haven't written a review for Wildlife. It's my favourite downtown Vancouver thrift store. In my opinion it's just the right size, organized properly, and thankfully has fitting rooms. The clothing and shoe selection is good. I'm not surprised to see some more desirable brands marked up, but you can still definitely make out with a great deal. I really love the one entire wall that is a mirror, quite convenient. The entire vibe of this store feels a little rustic and folksy-warehouse, and I am here for it. The neighborhood on Granville before it can be a little rough, but it won't stop me from shopping here.”

“Lots to choose from. If you have time to shuffle through things you can find great deals on clothes. Brand names are more expensive but still pretty cheap. I find it's worth it to go to this location as there is good finds every time.”

“I have been shopping at the SPCA Thrift Store, New West for over 2 years.I regularly receive a warm greeting! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Unlike a lot of thrift stores, there is no weird smell when you enter the store.I mentioned my observation to the owner and found out things are washed and ironed or steamed. Everything is clean.I continuously manage to find more than I planned on…going home with many purchases such as clothing, kitchen items, shoes and so much more.I highly recommend checking it out. It’s a wonderful way of getting great quality items for a fraction of the cost of new!”

“Used clothing store, but they have good items and a great variety. At reasonable prices, but they also have a bit high prices. But it all depends on the items and the quality.A store that sells second-hand items and clothing. They have a variety, books, clothing, footwear, pet clothing, furniture, paintings, glassware, household goods, jewelry, wallets, toys, curtains, electronics.”

“I’ve been going to this store for decades (yes, over 20+ years when they were just one tiny little store on Main). In the past, it was easy for me to purchase items from them but now, I’m older and well, the clothes target a younger audience.I’ve had good experiences with the staff there (not as a consigner) and found the store great for quirky items.I miss seeing some of their local designers / local repurposed clothing.I will continue to go there as it has a fun atmosphere and let’s be honest, they have great window displays!”
