“Awesome collection of prepared meals. Price is good, and they do deliver as well. The delivery can be done by using online apps like Doordash or instacart. We have been using them frequently and never had any issues, and food quality is great.”

“Metchosin Store has a little of everything. Wonderful staff. Once we needed a booster cable to start our car. There weren’t any in stock at the moment, but they kindly lent us one. Just great old fashioned service and consistency.”

“This is by far the most friendliness staff I've ever come across ❤️ I'm always greeted with a smile and asked I'm doing!!!! The flowers they arrange are so beautiful!!!! They have a wide variety of goods there and it's by far the best store I've ever been too. If you haven't checked them I highly recommend it!!!!!”
“I highly recommend SPUD for your grocery delivery. We chose SPUD because they value people over profit and they provide a wonderful customer service. The products are local, fresh, organic and they partner with great local bakeries for extra treats! The meats are well packaged with dry ice keeping them cold until we get home to open our delivery. They provide bins and they use temperature control bags for produce and they re-use it ALL. Give them a try, we especially like the subscription produce boxes.”

“I know some say the prices can be bad here but certain items I find do cost a bit less than places like Lifestyles or Thrifties etc. The selection is good; tofu, cheeses, non-dairy milks and yogurt, cereals etc. Sometimes you can find baked goods in the bakery section as well. They seem to get seasonal products in as well such as unique coffee, creamer, and dandies flavours. They also sell vegan supplements, protein powders, and self-care items. However this is a large chain store, so if you're trying to support local probably not your spot. Location is the size of a syandard grocery store with a coffee shop included on the left side of the store. Parking lot for uptown is quite large but can be confusing for people to navigate.”
“This place is great allways friendly and helpful open till 10pm and this summer coming soon they are opening a kitchen in the back with new foods cooked fresh on site I think it will be very tasty.”
“Highly recommended! Local Urban Bites is by far our favourite meal kit delivery service of the several we have tried. The ingredients are fresh and many are locally sourced from the Island. The recipes are varied, easy to make, healthy and tasty. As a vegetarian, I especially appreciate the wide selection of vegetarian and vegan options provided each week. The packaging is the most minimal and earth-friendly I have seen in a meal kit. Another plus is they don't make you subscribe - you can order week by week. We order from Local Urban Bites at least twice a month and it has made our meal planning so much simpler. We <3 LUB!”

“Great selection. Some things are a bit over priced, but others are i think under priced. Like any smaller private grocer, they charge whats reasonable for them.
Staff is hit and miss, some are super friendly and helpful, but they get students who couldn't give two blinks.

“Lots of Indian snacks can be found here. It was a great experience for me. I got to try snacks from different parts of India. I'd be really happy if they could bring 1-2 items from Bangladesh, Nepal, or Bhutan since there's no shop or restaurant in Victoria. It would be great to have something that reminds people of their home. Anyway, this place itself is good!”

“Family run convenience store. Has all the essential items starting from bread and spices to tools and basic hardware. Since it's more of a family run small business, do not expect it to have a lot of variety. Also, you cannot compare the prices with the prices at Walmart or Superstore. The staff are friendly, there was an old lady at the counter who had a smile on her face the whole time.”
“I enjoy M & M's foods, I've never had an issue with anythingI've bought there.
When I'm tired & don't feel like cooking, these meals are perfect. Pastas are great, chicken lasagna is one of my favourite's right now, it's packed with nice tender chicken.
The hors-d'oeuvre are very nice as well, meats are tender, desserts are tasty.
And the half baguettes are very good!”
