“purchasing a solid wood king size bed and new mattress was not an insignificant step, both in dollar terms, and making sure we made the right decisions - lots to consider. However, Karl stepped us through the options, with great advice and suggestions along the way. He kept us informed of timing as the bed was custom-made, and let us know in good time when it would be delivered.When the bed arrived (on time - right at the beginning of the delivery window), the two young men (Iain and Jayden) were a delight to work with. Very respectful of my wood floors and walls, explained what they were doing, and worked carefully to build and set up the bed in the right spot.Purchasing from Porter's has been a really great experience - great people, fabulous bed.”

“prices in here are way better than some of the other small local stores. Their milkjar candles are $12 cheaper than the other locations that carry them here, $38 is still hard to justify for a candle but i’ll take what I can get because they’re the best candles ever and burn for ages so it’s still worth it to me, plus you get a cute cup after too ! Always tons of unique product and always love supporting local creators and businesses. This will be my go to milkjar candle stop from now on so please keep selling them (just not for $50 pls)”

“After a wonderful purchase experience with JessicaOur experience was marred by apparently a lack of liability insurance by the delivery company who refused to move any mattresses to other rooms I now are having to arrange some assistance To do that We paid a sixty dollar fee for removal that we are not using.I strongly suggest getting a new installation provider with better insuranceUpdate in the end the delivery people were as helpful as possible under constraints of their insurance.I still think the ability to assist customersIn moving items not being removed would have made the experience much less stressfulUpdate I met another person who had the exact same experience it is a problem! Bad wood of mouth is something that should be addressed!”
