“I don’t ever leave reviews but the customer service was great. I believe there was two people working I’m guessing a manager (male) and maybe a assistant manager (female) either way they were both helpful, let me browse without being all on my back and more importantly were very informative. They signed me up so I can get cash back rewards which is cool as much as I train and travel I fly through products so it’s good to have. 10 stars to the service -@kofamuse”
“This is the best grocery store in the area. I travel 30 minutes to shop here. Well worth it. Some of the freshest & hugest selection of fruits & vegetables to be found under one roof. The butcher shop in the back of the store is newly remodeled. The butchers are very friendly & helpful with suggestions.”
“If you don't already shop at The Food Mill, you should start. It's a health food store that's been in Oakland since 1933. My current obsession is their crunchy peanut butter. You get a giant jar for under $10. It's freshly ground, so fluffy, nothing is added, and no stirring is needed! They also have a thousand bulk items, hard to find ingredients, fresh baked treats, lots of tasty fake meats, and the staff is so lovely and helpful.”

“Their oranges and grapefruit are the best around! Plus their staff is super sweet. Glad they are open late so I don’t have to go to that big store down the street (WF) for the essentials. xoxo”
“I’ve been trying the various flavors of kefirs and kombuchas they make over the past few months, and so far every single one is extremely refreshing. The apple-ginger, root beer, and blueberry juniper are favorites so far.”
“Absolute gem for vegan/vegetarian Asian foods. They have a large variety of items at really affordable prices. Honestly nothing but great experiences and tastes here!!”
“This is a hidden jewel and always an incredible experience, worth a visit! If you are looking for a tincture or a specific herb or incredible tea blends this is the place. I always learn something new about herbs and how best to take them here. I highly recommend Alembique!”
“I'M ABLE TO GET ALL OF MY ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE FOR MY SEVERE DEPRESSION AND SEVERE STRESS RELATED ANXIETY, MY HEART PROBLEMS, ETC., IN ONE PLACE AND IT'S A LOT LESS EXPENSIVE THAN THE REGULAR PHARMACEUTICAL FULL OF RESINS, ETC., THAT KILL PEOPLE AND/OR RUN PEOPLE CRAZY, BELIEVE ME I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE.HONESTLY, MS. LUCHITA GRAHAM MY PREFERRED NAME IS "CHIDA"”
“Sprouts id one of several markers I go to to round out my grocery shopping. Love the bulk bins, I just scan for what's on sale and buy that. Decent produce selection. And it's the only place I can find RW Garcia corn chips ehich”
“So glad that we stumbled upon this place. They have crystals, trinkets, candles, as well various teas and homeopathic items. I personally suffer from PCOS and western medicine items such as BC and such do not work for me and so I wanted to check the homeopathic and natural way. They had 2 different teas to help with PCOS and as well a ground up root that you can sprinkle in your tea or food. I am on day 2 and so I will see if this starts to take affect in the next month or so! Crossing fingers.”

“I was Blessed today to receive a great gift from this company. I do believe in prayer for all things, but only God truly knows what your needs are. Thanks and Bless you.”
“This is a pretty decent Whole Foods.
The folks working there are pretty friendly & it is often reasonably well-stocked.
Never found this particular store to be overwhelmingly crowded/busy…@ least not comparative to some nearby WF locations.
Tho I have experienced occasional low stock/no stock on various common items from time-to-time, but that’s prob a regional issue of higher demand more broadly.
As such, some WF can get much more picked-over than this one (think: 3000 Telegraph).
Thus far, I have never found this store lacking in availability of free customer parking, which is located in the basement parking garage.
The entrance is bit tricky @ first:
If approaching from Telegraph (also where the store’s street-level front entrance is @) from there you’ll turn onto Claremont, but be prepared to make a very immediate right off Claremont, into a tiny side street (Clarke) & the parking garage driveway entrance will appear, on Clarke, just ahead on your right.
Lastly, re. parking:
Also located down in basement-level customer parking area in garage, are a handful of oft-available EVGO-branded charging terminals.
If memory serves:
1) the terminals are slow-to-mid speed, of the ‘50-100 kw/hour’ variety
2) personally, have not experienced this station possessing terminals which are chronically ‘out-of-service’…
[EV owner/renters are likely familiar w the annoying phenomenon referenced above…
terminals and/or entire charging stations which appear to be perpetually offline / OOSvc ?
..oh well—imo, even on its worst day—still beats paying for gas.]
Can’t think of any other relevant info offhand.
Happy shopping [& parking]!!
:-D”
“I’m a firm believer in food justice and this market is located in downtown area near schools and multi-residential units which is awesome. It can get spendy but they have specials on fresh produce and it’s accessible to the community. Lots of vegan items and healthier alternatives for everyone! I scored my favorite cookie and strawberries because I learned my lesson yesterday- always bring your own snacks!”
“Every time I go to the GNC on Lewelling, I have a terrific experience. You get great deals, and you will get all the best information from the very knowledgeable workers there. Make sure you go in when Grace is working, if you're looking for A+ customer service.”
“I live this location in many ways. However I don't know why there is no little variety at the hot bar. I used to pick up lunch or dinner several times a week. But same old meatloaf, samosas mac and cheese gets.old fast. Bring back more dishes please.”
“Great prices and service, The folks who work the meat department are great! Store is more focused on products, and have added self checkouts, so the long lines have gone away. The folks who work the deli and bakery are good folks!”
“The cheapest price on a pound of butter around and to top it off it was from Crystal Dairy company local to Modesto CA. #ShopLocal I went last month paid $3.00 for 1 pound. I will never buy butter anywhere else again as long as that price stays that way. Other than that the people were alright the guy was def the most polite idk what's shaking with the ladies in the store but give em another chance if not send an email. What else you do you know?”
“Nice shop like all the others, yet convenient with my other errands. Protein shake is still buy 1 and get a 2nd at 50% off. Simple rewards points using your phone number.”

“The best place for food. Be ready for all the choices. Be ready to explore and expand your culinary understanding. Treat yourself bring your prime membership for extra savings! I always feel like a kid on the way to the fair when I go.”
“I won't go on a North Berkeley rant but this WF market is nice. Pretty big and plenty of self checkout stations. Prices high but you can still find some value if you poke around a bit ?”
“The 5 stars goes to the employee who assisted me named: Rudy. This gentlemen is always attentive when I walk in or when I notice others walk in the store. Rudy always informs me of the promotions available to pro members and let's me know how I can save by bundling my supplement purchases and has a great working knowledge of the supplements offered and the benefits of my chosen products. He is a down to earth individual and I always look forward to talking sports and nutrition when I come in to shop here.”
“This store looks much newer than the other store on telegraph, in Berkeley, and I really liked the local selection here as well. The only problem is that it's at a somewhat major intersection in Temescal and so traffic, and finding parking are both usually harder here at street level. Normally you can find a 10 min spot on the street though.”
“We stopped by Whole Foods on the weekend to purchase some items since we had manufactured coupons. The parking lot was busy but we were able to find a spot quickly as people kept coming in and out. When you first walk in, there are self check out station and a guard. There is also a customer service station allowing you to return your Amazon packages. Inside of the store, the aisles were not labeled according, so it was tough to locate many items that I was looking for. Even though it was a busy store, the items in the store is always stocked and cleaned. While using manufacturer coupons at checkout, the customer service representatives and other store customers made me feel unwelcome and it felt frustrating. I carefully planned my budget and since some of the coupons were not taken, the total went over the roof. I would definitely go back if their customer service representative is trained better.”
“It's a good little grocery store. You can pop in here and get some things you need, especially if you're looking for natural foods, organic, vegan type of things. Also if you need some supplements they have a large selection of that. They do not have a large selection of products in general, but they have some different products that may be hard to find other places.”
