“Love coming here with the kids. Cheap on Wednesdays. Tons of memories and great games. A valuable part of the community. Since we live near there, we go there fairly often, and it has never disappointed us. Staff are friendly, and games change occasionally. Kids love it so much my oldest daughter took her friend there and she had a blast. Great for family.”
“Nice people - But they are Elks, what do you expect!
We dry camped, that is all they offer.
The lodge tour was wonderful!!! What a cool lodge building.
They are a block from Main Street Alameda, lots of different food choices.
Try Signal coffee, you will understand how a small shop does coffee better than next door Peet’s or Starbucks.”
“I contacted Phoenix about hosting a memorial service. Saskia responded extremely with a quote and we were able to see the space the next day. Saskia was incredibly friendly and kind. The space is lovely and their service is extremely flexible with respect to food and price, which allows you to really design your own event. It's great to have a space like this in Alameda!”
“We had my parents celebration of life service there at Eagles Hall and it was AMAZING !!! Although it was a gloomy and emotional day the staff at Eagles Hall was exceptional !!! they took care of all our needs . A special shout out to Ernie and i believe her name was Donna ( the bar tenders ) for making it a smooth day. and also Judi Tansey. THANK GUYS ! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING EAGLES HALL. ??”
“We had our 48th Encinal HS Reunion last night here and can't say enough about this event space. The all volunteer staff was fabulous to work with and accommodated our every need. Thanks to them our reunion was a success!”
“My daughter was here for summer camp so they were outside but the building itself inside is beautiful! Great for a wedding or other formal even if they host them. (One of the bathroom.doors doesn't close all the way and should be fixed.)”
“Oh my goodness, this is a great place to have an event. Super nice, clean and good location. Mr. Ray was very attentive, will definitely recommend this hall.
Thank you”
“We went to a wedding on the Merlot Commodore and it was fabulous! The food was great although the wine could have been better. I enjoyed the route we took: under the Bay Bridge, by the Giant’s stadium, under the Golden Gate Bridge, and around Alcatraz! The staff was accommodating and friendly.”

“Coral Reef Inn in Alameda is honestly an incredible deal. In a region where housing can feel almost impossible unless you’re making a very high income, finding somewhere that’s clean, safe, spacious, and truly affordable feels rare. This place is a gem.
It’s an executive-style hotel with large suites that include a full kitchen and dining area, which makes a huge difference — especially if you’re staying longer term. You’re not just renting a room; you actually have space to live. Being able to cook your own meals and have a real dining area helps so much when you’re trying to live reasonably in the Bay Area.
What really stands out is the value. For the price, it’s honestly hard to beat. It gives people a real opportunity to live in the Bay without completely draining their finances.
It also feels safe, well-kept, and the location is amazing — right by the beach in Alameda. Being able to walk along the shoreline and enjoy the peaceful setting adds so much quality of life.
If you’re looking for something clean, spacious, and surprisingly affordable in the Bay Area, I highly, highly, highly recommend Coral Reef Inn. PRO TIP: room 105 has the best view in my opinion”
“I totally love that place! There are so many historical exhibits and history there, and if you're not careful, you might even get spooked by the sailors! ????”
