“This is a wonderful local business! Z, the owner, is super helpful and very nice. I got my passport pictures taken here and he took the time to set it up and made sure I liked it. He has a good lighting and backdrop setup and has software that ensures the image would be accepted. Afterwards, he ensured I had everything I needed for my passport application and mailed it out for me. On another occasion, I brought something I needed mailed out, and he helped me package it and mailed it out for a very reasonable price. You can ship things through USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL so it's a one stop shop. Thanks, Z!”

“A fun, zig-zaggy ride along Pinehurst Road leads to the secluded, forgotten hamlet of Canyon, CA, & this obscure, secretive landmark. Not much at the spot itself, although the forest surrounding have hiking opportunities galore. The drive up into town is clearly marked Private, & palpably UNwelcoming, so respect the locals’ privacy, & move on without intruding.”

“I went to cash a money order but it's funny that post office didn't have $250 in cash. I would understand if they didn't have $2000 but $250. Ding ding dong dong!!! The lady helped me was courteous and advised me to deposit in my bank account and she didn't want me to come back again becuase the post office mostly out of cash (specially in the mid of the month). I gave 4 stars because the employee acted courteously.”

“I accidentally forgot to put postage on our nephew's birthday card and realized my mistake just as I dropped the card into the big blue post box outside the post office. I waited and waited for the card to be returned only to learn on our nephew's birthday that he had received the card after all! The amazing folks (who are always so friendly in person) at Orinda post office had put a stamp on the card. They went above and beyond and we really appreciate them!”

“Of all the post offices I've been to in the Bay Area this is by far the best one. They are efficient, quick and organized when processing transactions. Unlike other post office locations that follow a pace of plate tectonics. This is the only post office I go to. Excellent service that other locations should try to duplicate, but they won't. Highly recommend this Post Office”

“I have always gotten useful help from the staff here even during the hectic holiday season, there was a line that moved quickly and they handled even the most random questions. Useful to ensure we support this service.”

“Warning you will need to go through security on the south side (if you come from the north, they’ll make you walk around outside). It’s located in the basement. Another warning is that there is no signal (or Wi-Fi) bc it’s in the basement, so if you need a QR code, take a screenshot of it beforehand.Celipe (I may have gotten the name kind of wrong, but he’s an older gentleman), was very friendly and helpful. There was no wait either! I was in and out in minutes!”

“I don't usually comment on places but I experienced my first male Karen moment. It was thrilling. So thrilling that I fumbled with my phone and only caught the last part as he did his walk of shame out of the door as everyone was left in silence. This man clomped up to the counter and the woman working, Phoung, kindly greeted him and asked him what he needed. The man cut her off and said, I DONT NEED YOU TO ASK ME ANYTHING. I DON'T NEED STAMPS. I JUST NEED YOU TO DO WHAT I ASK YOU TO!! He spoke to her like they were in the middle of a heated argument. This woman, mind you, had her scale to weigh packages malfunction, her computer decided that it didn't want to work anymore and had to restart it working ALL BY HERSELF on a Friday around lunchtime. She really wanted to do a good job so she managed to work it out while the line grew. If anyone reading this were spoken to the way he did you would've had to use all your God given strength not to go nuclear, hop over that counter and made him eat those words. I was on the side ready to say something but Phoung had it covered. She responded in kind with the addition of respect saying, I just asked what you needed so there wouldn't be any misunderstandings!! Then SHE apologized for the miscommunication for reasons unknown. Be kind people or you might just run into someone who will give it right back to you. Thanks Phoung!”

“Kindest post office in the US! I needed to send a package and wasn’t sure what’s the best way to do. The lady was kindly checked and gave me an advice, and the gentleman after I packed and pay was also kind. There’s only 2-3 people on line and service was very fast and efficient. Thank you!”

“Good little community post office with lots of PO Boxes. I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait in line here. I do frequently come with all my postage purchased online, so I just drop off 90% of the time. I do often purchase stamps at the counter, staff are always very friendly and take time to show me the seasonal stamps and cute special editions. I send a lot of snail mail for fun. It’s one of the least busy, and friendliest post offices in the entire east bay.”

“When I first moved to California in August 2015, I brought a lot of things with me that I did not know if I would need. Where I was living, on Spruce Street, was close to this US Post Office in North Berkeley, so if I needed to ship anything back to Washington State - this is where I came. We would get flat rate boxes, and then I would fill and ship them as needed.Traveling past on foot a number of times, I saw the lines could be very long. So, I would think through what I really wanted to send back (introspection and prioritization) to reduce the number of times I needed to come and ship belongings to Washington State. Even coming early/off hours, there was a wait - but the line moved briskly and the workers were fast and professional.”

“As of 7/1/2023 these are the Hours of Operation at 11135 San Pablo Avenue. Having evening access to the lobby on a Saturday was / is super helpful - including the sizable drop box that fits up to a Flat Rate Medium Box #2.”

“Ramon rocks and is the glue that holds this post office together. Not sure what we'll all do when he retires. But, I wish him the best of luck when he does and thank him for all of his helpful service over the years.”

“The hours are incorrect. As of 7/11, this location is not open on weekends and on weekdays they close at 430pm. Whoever is responsible for updating hours should update this. Thank you!”

“The lines are always a little bit long, but the center is always stocked with all the supplies I need. The employees are cool. I don't know why people are saying they are rude. The customers are usually giving them a hard time and they try really hard not to be rude back. Service jobs are tough. Parking sucks, though. I agree with that statement.”

“Went to the post office to ship a package and mail some letters. I arrived a little after 11:30 and the line was out the door. It took about 15 minutes before I was served. Maybe 10-10:30 is the golden hour. It would be nice if there was a dedicated parking lot, but I have a feeling the majority of patrons are walk-ups. I appreciate their constant cleanliness, knowledgeable employees, and their constant stock of domestic and international stamps.”

“I love this post office. The sistah that works in the far corner is so incredibly helpful and proficient at her job. She is so on it, that I usually leave feeling better than I walked in because she makes the experience so pleasant and clear. If it weren't for parking I would use this post office exclusively. I will say that the USPS should update the equipment. Some of the machines seem like they haven't been updated since before Regan was president.”
