“As the author of the Grant Colson Thriller Series and SERA Archives Thriller Series, I spend a lot of time in bookstores like this while traveling.
Barnes & Noble in Aliso Viejo, California has a really attractive and thoughtfully designed layout.
The stone architectural entrance gives the store a strong, polished look from the outside. Inside, the space is spacious and well organized, making it easy to move through and browse different sections.
There’s a café area with a mural of famous artists, which adds a creative touch and makes the space feel more engaging. The flooring transitions between tile and carpet, helping with both comfort and sound control while still allowing easy movement through the store.
The staff has always been friendly and helpful, keeping the experience smooth.
Overall it’s a well-designed Barnes & Noble with great architectural details and a comfortable atmosphere.”
“Absolutely loved the aesthetic and peaceful vibe of this shop. Everything felt thoughtfully placed and the energy was amazing. We came from Phoenix, AZ and will definitely return next time we’re in town.”
“If your looking for a place to spend a few hours browsing books you found it! I drove over an hour to go to my favorite book store. I traded in some books I have finished and then found a bunch more to bring home. I asked for help finding a book and the staff was amazing!! I love this adorable beach book store.”
“After walking here many a-time, I finally stumbled upon the environmental landscaping demonstration in the front of the park..the signs were surprisingly informative and I recorded many of them- thank you!”
“My daughter won second place in the Laguna Beach Library poetry contest and received $75, so we came to Laguna Beach Books to pick out books. The staff were very friendly and even helped us with parking validation. Great independent bookstore worth supporting.”
“Wow what a neat place to get really discounted used books. This place is a treat for all bibliophiles, prices ranging from $1-$3 for most books. This friends library is mainly operated by wonderful and cheerful volunteers. Neat and well organized. Coming back again!”

“St. Michael's Books is a fantastic spot! The service was perfect—friendly and super helpful. I found exactly what I was looking for, including some awesome pendants and a book I’d been searching for. I’m definitely coming back for more. If you're into unique finds and great service, this place is a must-visit!”
“The used bookstore is great - I don’t know of any others in this area. They just reopened and I was happy to find all of the trilogy of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo for only $4 total (one of which being a hardback cover). Lots of books in good quality at a low price! I can’t imagine how much it would have been to buy them new at a retailer.”
“I love this place! Books are organized so well and the deals are fantastic. Best place to find used books. I've gotten some of my favorite books here and it always inspires me to pick up something I may have not been willing to get if I was paying full price. Check this place out!”

“What an amazing experience we had at Kristalle! Stephanie was the absolute best - so friendly and kind. She even baked cookies for small business Saturday! The shop is so much more than just that - a true museum of hidden gems and fossils. They have such a great selection of different materials and I felt like there was a good range of price points! Thank you so much. Stopping in was a highlight of my day and I already can’t wait to go back!”

“A great place to get some last minute gifts or souvenirs, not to mention a pretty good selection of reading materials and snacks. Today I got a cute California hoodie and a hat for a gift. The check out process was smooth and the cashier was very friendly, she also had a great sense of humor. Thanks for making me smile! I will be back”
“Store:. Clean. Layout is ok. Some areas have random products.Products: There is a huge assortment of merchandise for UCI gear for students, family, etc. Quality choices.Checkout: Two cashiers. At times, the lines can become long and slow.Service:. I found the service or support could improve.Went to purchase some merchandise for myself and my student. Biggest issue was the app. I DL the app to get a discount. App wasn't working and the cashier's couldn't do much to help. The products were nice. Happy with purchase.”
“Was very impressed with the helpfulness of the staff here. WARNING: At the beginning of semesters they are EXTREMELY busy and often times don’t have enough staff working, causing the lines to be extremely long.”
“Most gorgeous B&N I've ever been to.. so big too!! ♥️♥️♥️ An employee found the book I was looking for right away. ? ?? The only thing is, I wish they had a couple more spots to sit in to read in there :)”
“I love this place! Beautiful bookstore with a fantastic selection of vetted, Bible-centered books and resources. I shop here all the time.
