“We stayed here for 2 days and absolutely loved it. The place is very cozy and welcoming, with a warm atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the first moment. Everything is thoughtfully designed, quiet, and perfect for a relaxing stay.
The location is excellent: beautiful, peaceful, and very convenient. A perfect spot to unplug, enjoy nature, and truly unwind.
We would gladly return and highly recommend this place.”
“Beautiful venue to host an event, especially a wedding.
Only drawback is the back and forth walking up and down hills.
Well Run. Very Responsive and Accommodating Staff.
Also needs more lighting. Very Dark.”
“Had a great time at the Haunting of Stone Oak Manor. Fun new Halloween attraction in the area and likely to be back again next season. Check it out and hopefully more events to come from this gorgeous venue.”
“Diane, Lynn, Becca, and team are amazing! We loved our experience not just with getting married here, but with their support and kindness through the planning process. The venue is beautiful as heck and I especially loved being able to see all the way to perris lake from the grounds. The best part was the staff supporting us in being able to choose which parts of the venue we wanted to use and there were so many different spots to choose from. Our guests had plenty of backdrops to take pictures with. This was truly a magical place.”

“Best coffee pop up ever - Bergheim cafe...a space that embodies the value of hygge 'above the clouds'. Come taste the flavor of uniquely roasted beans and Expresso literally hand pressed! I can't remember the last time we sat, enjoyed the company and scenery! So glad we are reminded to sit and enjoy! Thank you Bergheim & Blackdog for sharing with the community & space.”
“Great price and even greater stay! Darrin and Cadence made this trip amazing. They are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. The house is breathtaking! We stayed in the lover’s room (Clark Gables room). It was so cool to see all the vintage items like cameras and bath tubs. The bathroom is separate and beautifully decorated. Homemade breakfast and parfait with fresh orange juice made by Darrin himself. He had great recommendations for dinner (Oakside). There’s a game room with lots of activities. They also do weddings and full house rent outs! Definitely coming back!”
“This orchard was wonderful for apple picking. It wasn't crowded and the workers were very friendly. They give you a bag and pole to use for picking. Highly recommend wearing pants as there are needly plants on the ground near the trees.”
“We've been to several events at the Big Bear Lake Convention Center and it's become our go-to spot for family outings. The food is genuinely delicious and reasonably priced — refreshing when so many places up here try to overcharge tourists.
The drinks are properly made too. You actually taste what you ordered, not watered-down disappointments. (If you've been to certain bars downtown, you know exactly what I mean.)
The music selection tends to stay pretty consistent, but honestly that works in their favor — it's always family-friendly and keeps everyone from the kids to the grandparents happy.
If you're looking for a place where the whole family can enjoy themselves without feeling ripped off, this is it.
Big Bear Lake Convention Center — see you soon! ;-)”
“Love the rodeo. We go every year. I wish they had more events. This year they wouldn't allow strollers. Not good for parents with babies. Not sure what that's about”
“Great historical landmark in Big Bear, the new owners have done a ton of improvements to the property and obviously care to preserve it for future generations its available for weddings or other functions as well as a get a way weekend with or without the kids easy walking distance from the Village shopping and restaurants and only a couple blocks from the lake. Close to all the action but still quiet enough to fully relax and recenter. Definitely recommend checking this place out.Nearby activities: Everything that Big Bear offers is right out your cabin door with minimum effortWalkability: Less than an eighth of a mile from the Village and lake”
“I love Greenspot. Beautiful little farm to have some peace, quite, and alone time. Also great to bring the kiddos. Staff is wonderful, animals are adorable and sweet, great little gift shop, well kept grounds. A little slice of heaven.”

“If you’re considering having your wedding here, do it! I would give it a 15/10. From the moment we met Krissy, the event coordinator, we knew we were in good hands. Her professionalism, hospitality, and meticulous attention to detail were unmatched. Krissy and her team exceeded our expectations, from the food tastings to the coordination on the big day. Krissy went above and beyond, even helping to organize the ceremony and reception, and ensuring that my bridal party and I had lunch before everything started.
When our guests began arriving at 4 PM, it was extremely hot—typical for August. Krissy and her team quickly adapted, allowing our punctual guests to wait inside the Clubhouse to stay cool. We were so grateful for this thoughtful gesture. Her enthusiasm and genuine excitement for us made the day even more special—she truly became an essential part of our wedding.
The venue itself was stunning and just the right size for our intimate wedding. The ceremony was magical, with monarch butterflies fluttering as I made my bridal entrance. The short walk to the reception area was convenient for everyone, and it was a hit—some family members enjoyed a round of golf, while the children played lawn games outside. The venue's new dance floor, TV screens for a slideshow, and the elegant chandelier added to the already beautiful setting and enhanced the look of our wedding. Even though we had a dry wedding, drinks were available in the Clubhouse, which some of our guests appreciated.
Krissy and her team even arranged golf carts for our photographers and my new husband to drive out for sunset pictures.
Overall, it was an amazing experience, and we couldn’t be more thankful!”
“A nice hotel lodge. Very clean and a nice room. Had a nice 2nd store deck. There's a fireplace, but you have to bring your own food, lighter fluid and matches. But no one told us that, I had to reach out to staff to find out this! Was very disappointed!! And the staff wasn't very attentive or helpful. Probably wont stay there again for that reason.”
“Amazing cabins and community. We have been coming here for t1d camps every summer and winter ever since we learned about them.
Melanie, jessica, rocky , ryan. They are all wonderful compassionate human beings that open up their arms for the kids and family. My kiddo loves it here and this is her home away from home and family that is extended from our family.
Keep up the great work and thank you so much for this community and what you guys are doing.
This campground has bb gun, archery range, climbing wall, swimming pool, clean cabins, nice and lovely hike trailz, wonderful dining area and cool play lodge with tons of games, medical center, and event center.
I shared my growth and journey that started from camp in my upcoming book Breaking Through Survival Mode (summer 2026).”
