When I called SCCB, it was reassuring and refreshing to get someone on the phone promptly who could confidently help me. His name was/is Jaron Reyes, and we have been working together for months since then. Jaron has given me amazing customer service and definitely goes "the extra mile". “Understand there have been reductions in terms of staffing at the banks as they have transitioned to online support. The staff who continue to work in person at the banks are probably stretched thin. I rarely go in but went today to make a wire payment. Pleasantly surprised by staff worker Ernesto Rodrigo Lopez, who was kind and attentive, and took care of my needs.”

“David is an amazing local Santa Cruz lender who has a wealth of experience and expertise that is priceless in this crazy Santa Cruz real estate market.Honest post, some escrows are smooth, some escrows have little bumps in the road, and others can be a roller coaster of events and emotions…. This escrow was a bumping roller coaster- it was intense.Thankfully David and I kept things professional, cool, calm, and collected and we helped our client understand their options and through collaboration we closed escrow and found a way to make both the buyers and sellers happy and make their dream a reality.I want to highlight how important it is to not only work with a great realtor, but a great lender. “I called 3 other Chase branches to ask some question about my safe deposit box and opening up a new account. Nobody picked up for the other branches but when I called this branch...someone answered within 2 rings, was very courteous, and answered all of my questions even though my safe deposit box is with a different branch. I definitely see why this is the highest rated branch in the area.”

“The folks at this branch are very customer service oriented. Every time I come with a concern, it is immediately addressed. It doesn't always get resolved quickly if other divisions or departments are involved, but the people at this branch have always stayed on top of any issues and given me timely updates. My only beef is the same as another reviewer posted. The bank is closed from 12 to 1 p.m. Not a good idea. Other bank branches I've used are open at this time. It does not take a whole lot of planning or management to have employees stagger their lunch hours so someone is available at a time when many people are able to do their errands. Some transactions are best completed in person, like deposits. Lest someone be tempted to respond that one can deposit checks through the app, that comes at additional cost. I have already brought this to the attention of several reps at US Bank. If you have the kind of account that places limits on the number of transactions, be aware that check deposits through the app count as TWO transactions, per check, a fact that is not disclosed anywhere when you make deposits on the app. I only found out about it when charges for the excess transactions appeared on my statement. Someone at this branch agreed with me that the lack of transparency was not acceptable and promptly got all the inappropriate fees refunded. Prompt and professional service!”

“All I can say is best customer service ever from Andrew. After speaking to several people on the phone who were not very eager to fix an issue I went into the Aptos branch and spoke with Andrew who helped me and went above and beyond to fix the issue instantly. 2 people had already told me it would be about week before my issue was resolved and he literally tried several different things and spent the time required to resolve this issue. Walking in I wanted to close my account and take my business elsewhere but after speaking to Andrew and seeing how eager he was to fix the issue I will most definitely stay a customer and hopefully no other issues will come about however if they do I feel confident knowing there is someone out there who cares and who will put in the time and work to resolve your issue! Thanks again Andrew you the man!!!”

“I had a problem with my check order. The incorrect type of checks were ordered when I brought my reorder slip in. I came in and had a bad experience with Alex F who was a relationship banker. Basically he said I was stuck with them. I went home and researched more and realized that yes indeed I could get the type of checks I wanted through B of A. So back I went and Karen Valles helped me. She also is a relationship banker. She not only ordered the correct checks, she put a rush on delivery and credited my acct for the wrong checks. I give her a 5 star review for taking the time to correct this problem, unfortunately the other two people I dealt with there get a much lower review.”
