“I’ve lived in the area for almost 20 years and finally stopped into The Warmth Company for the first time — and wow, what a beautiful shop. The displays, clothing, jewelry, candles, robes, even the children’s plushies — everything was curated so perfectly. The store truly lives up to its name in terms of atmosphere and aesthetic.
That said, the customer service was surprisingly cold compared to the warmth of the space itself. There were several associates working, but I didn’t receive a single “hello” or “good morning,” even after browsing for a while or checking out. It felt a little awkward and disconnected, especially since the store itself is so inviting.
I’m giving four stars because the shop itself is gorgeous and has so much potential, I’ll definitely give it another chance. I just hope the next visit matches the beauty of the space with the same warmth in customer experience.”

“We came to the store to investigate new mattresses. We have had good experiences in the past with this store. The showed us different mattresses to confirm what would be best for our sleeping habits. With a few that we liked they showed the differences and features that brought us to the one we liked best. They were able to give us the best possible price and we were sold. Now we are just waiting for delivery. They made sure that they are there if we have any issues at all. A good shopping experience. “Popped in to grab a new couch and was really impressed. There's a solid selection of options to cater for almost anyone's taste. Also, the owner, Jackson, is a legend and was super helpful getting my order out with a pretty aggressive delivery timeline. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're on the hunt for a new couch or arm chair.

“Want furniture? Like great value and service with a smile? Here’s a great store to check out. My wife loves to look endlessly for the right chair, table, or couch—ad infinitum! She discovered this gem, and now it’s on the top of her “go to” list when she needs (mostly wants!) to redecorate a room. We’ve bought all three (chair, table, and two couches) so far from this shop. And each one has been a good value and pleasant experience—the latter even tasty—they serve a bowl of delicious candies at their back counter. I like sitting in their chairs while my wife shops and talking to the new owner who loves to talk baseball with a friendly smile—though he’s not in love with my favorite team.”

I had such a fun time going through all of the different booths, I spent about an hour looking at everything and probably could’ve stayed longer since the store is huge. I thought most of the items were decently priced as well. The employees were very sweet and friendly. I can’t wait to go back!”
“Great store with tons of options! This location has quite a lot of furniture and lighting, and they're all very well priced and seem to be good quality. On top of the furniture, they have a ton of fun foods and drinks at the back, mostly all imported from around the world. It's a great option to get something that you've never tried before, had once on vacation and have been craving since, or just for your fix of goodies. The staff are friendly, and the store is well maintained.”
“I had to replace my built-in refrigerator and dreaded going to a big box store. Baker Borthers handled the whole transaction over the phone. They asked for photos of my built-in and the model #, my budget.They found exactly what I was looking for. The installation was amazing- so professional, timely. They snail-mailed my paperwork with a hand-written thank you note and gave me the option of mailing a check or calling with a card. Old school - yes! And BTW, during Covid when my old refrigerator failed yet again, I called them and they delivered a mini-fridge to me within hours.”

The salesperson was friendly, helpful, and made sure we got the right size table. The delivery guys were on time, nice folks, and got everything unloaded right. We are very happy!”
“I commissioned a large 7'x9' custom cabinet and wall display panels by JOHI, which they designed and built for my new retail location. What a seamless experience! From finding them, to discussing the idea, the proposal, the build-out and installation... all was so smooth and easy. I had so many other stresses on my plate, that not having to worry about how this was going to go was so relieving. Their communication happened at all the right moments. “Where do I begin here? There are so many boxes that this place checks not to mention I don’t have to venture very far to go there. That being said even if I lived in Los Gatos or Campbell I would travel over 17 just to shop at this store. This place has inventory and amazing and varied inventory at that. The aesthetic of the furniture is what I would describe as relaxed sophistication with a modern vibe. Not shopping for furniture? That’s fine, there are many other items such as table and glass ware, candles, beautiful seasonal wreaths, coffee table books, etc to choose from. I love that they carry the locally made Annie Glass and from the Carmel Ceramica as well. Everyone who works here is lovely, engaging, and hospitable-they are content to help you find the right gift or whatever you need!”
“Pueblo Viejo is a beautiful shop in Capitola. And I do mean beautiful... like an art gallery. If you love Mexican handicrafts, pottery, furniture, artwork and jewelry you will love this store. I was especially impressed with the mirrors framed in hammered silver. Here you will find unique gift items as well as home decor. Parking is on the street or in a nearby lot.”

“I always enjoy doing business with local brick and mortar companies. Chris is a friendly guy. His salesperson, Gabrielle, was very helpful. I purchased an extra firm queen mattress at a good agreed to price, to my liking and Chris offered to deliver it that same afternoon at 5 PM. WOW!! Just what I wanted. Since he was working alone I offered to meet him at the house to carry the mattress up the staircase to the second floor bedroom. When I arrived, I was impressed that he had already delivered the mattress and removed the old twin on his own. Unfortunately, in the process the mattress caught on the landing molding, lifting it off. The oak trim was ripped away from the landing molding by the precarious, heavy queen mattress edges as Chris carried it by himself on the way up the stairs. This required me to do two separate repair jobs as a result of the damage. I was disappointed that he wasn't willing to wait a few minutes for me to give him hand and prevent this damage to the house. While I appreciate his willingness, it may have been overconfident/exuberant. Otherwise, it was a completely satisfactory business purchase interaction and we are pleased with the mattress. I would recommend this business. This is the fourth mattress we have purchased from Chris.”
