Motel 6 Arcata offers an inexpensive and solid experience with good value for the cost. The check-in process is automated and different, using a kiosk or virtual assistant for a remote, straightforward service that some find efficient but others find impersonal. The staff is noted as friendly, helpful, and competent. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and fair for the price, with decent beds and functioning AC, though furnishings can be slightly worn-out. Some rooms are small, especially with two beds. Issues noted include very small, cheap towels, bathroom floors coming up, shower leaks, and walls that are not completely soundproof. The location is convenient and close to restaurants and major roads, with free parking outside, though parking can be tight during area events. The surrounding outdoors are nice, but the immediate area has some safety concerns with people on drugs and homeless individuals, though the motel itself has security cameras and feels safe with doors locked. It is considered a good deal for an affordable, short stay.
Clean Rooms, vending machine with snacks razors and tooth brushes, close to McDonald's. Quick turn down service. Best motel 6 I've ever stayed in

Pet friendly, clean, quiet, small rooms. Don’t get to talk to person at desk in person, have to talk to some guy on a computer.

Traveling with pets can be a literal crap shoot. This Motel 6 was clean and they went out of their way to give us the room farthest from any busy street, so it was very pleasant. A bit removed from downtown, but easily accessible to all we wanted to explore. Very pleased and can highly recommend.
