“I was driving from Visalia to Sunnyvale and while driving over Pacheco Pass, my engine splash shield came loose and I dragged it for milessssss because I didn’t feel safe pulling over. When it was finally safe to do so, I looked for a mechanic shop on my phone and chose Gilroy Auto Works because of the 5 star reviews. I needed the shield to be taken off, so I could continue the drive to Sunnyvale and the return trip home on the same day. Arnold took a look and was able to take the shield off for me. “Had a torque converter assessment from another local truck repair service company. I didn't feel the estimate nor the service would be up to par with what I'd expect from a transmission company working on one of my box trucks out of my fleet. I took it to Scott Morimoto and he was patient with me and explanined that even though I only had 65K miles on my trany, by just replacing the torque converter something else could be wrong at any time....With this inforatmiion I couldn't risk my delivery truck being down so I went ahead and got a full transmission rebuild. Yep it cost a little more but Scott was the hero with his advice, service and knowledge. So glad I made the trip to Pajaro to find this great mechanic.”

Upon assessing the situation, he added antifreeze and instructed me on how to navigate moving forward. After he quickly helped me, I asked him how much it would be, to which he replied “nothing, just keep an eye on it.” This type of customer service is on matched - For a business owner to stop to help a complete stranger free of charge!
