Hotel Catalina is a charming and historic hotel located on a beautiful island, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests. Many visitors cherish the hotel for its peaceful surroundings and the sense of romance it provides, making it a memorable place to stay. It has a long-standing reputation as a special spot for couples and honeymooners, with some guests returning after decades and finding the same warmth and beauty they remembered. The hotel features a cozy, petite setting with a front porch patio and a top-floor balcony that offers lovely views. Its location is convenient, being close to the beach, boardwalk, restaurants, and shops, all within a short walk. The hotel is old, with no elevator and some areas needing updates; the courtyard area was not very inviting during some visits, and the jacuzzi is boarded up. The rooms are small but functional, with comfortable beds and ceiling fans that help keep them cool, even without air conditioning. Cleanliness is generally good, though some guests noted that the rooms and bathrooms could use a little more attention. There is no daily housekeeping, and staff availability is limited to certain hours, which can be inconvenient for some visitors. Pricing is affordable and appreciated by guests, especially for short stays. Some guests experienced challenges with check-in, as there is no 24-hour front desk, and the process involves calling a number for assistance. Despite these minor issues, many guests find Hotel Catalina a lovely, cozy place to relax and enjoy the island's natural beauty. Overall, it’s a special hotel that holds fond memories for those who stay there, offering a combination of history, charm, and a welcoming environment.
The most beautiful place to stay. The staff here are amazing. Nancy and Brenda made me and my fiancé feel so welcome. Thank you for making our trip so memorable.

We are still there 😊. Relaxing for the holidays. So far so good. It's cute, petite, and the shower is small but mighty ( that's a good thing).

Lovely hotel!
Leave the bathroom door in 304 slightly ajar as it can lock you in, and the only way out is climbing through the small window to your demise down the sheer face of the building.
