“walked in for coffee and it was kinda warm and stale. that soured my mood right away honestly. then i noticed the breakfast burrito in the warmer and figured why not grab one. i really didnt expect it to be that good haha. like the eggs were fluffy and the cheese was melty and it had actual flavor which is rare for gas station food. seriously surprised me. also the lady at the counter was super nice... didnt rush me at all. definitely coming back here next time im driving through.”

“Talk about anything and everything you could even want when stopping on a road trip... I wanted to shop and get all the things for Christmas gift baskets, I will be making a trip back this way soon.”

“Clean station with wide gas parking. Meaning you won’t struggle pulling your vehicle up to the pump, worried about space. Good to oversize vehicles. Good code stop with a Taco Bell attached.”

“The very nice clerk with creative lovely fuchsia eye makeup told me I was very beautiful. Of course that is lovely to hear, but also impressive that this person was able to be so kind at such a busy workplace. It was super busy. Anyway, this person deserves a raise for rising above a stressful workplace to still be kind to customers. 12/10/2022”

“Great place! The pizza was delicious, the ingredients were fresh, and the service was excellent. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It’s very convenient to stop for gas and grab some great pizza at the same time. I’ll definitely stop by again!”

“The best gas station/Lotto place in Baker.😃 Today I visited this gas station and was greeted by a friendly young lady around 4:45 p.m, I asked her if she could redeem my winning Lotto scratcher and she kindly helped me redeem it. I had gone to a country store earlier down the street and had a horrible experience there. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Shell gas station, has supreme quality gasoline, a really nicely stocked store and best of all, Their customer service is the best. Best place to buy California Lottery is at this Shell Station.😃”

“Stopped for the bathroom, didn’t know there was a yogurt bar inside. Clean store, kids toys, food court. We went to the yogurt land you ring the bell and they give you cups instead of bowls. The ice-cream was the best I had in like a million years. Chocolate and vanilla swirl, and pistachio, added some sprinkle. You’re gonna wanna fill the 16 ounce cup. It’s a paper cup so it isn’t cold to hold, easy to eat on the road. Napkins too! Made me happy hope it makes someone else happy Also the woman’s bathroom was massive lots of stalls and clean, sort of like the kind they have at shopping malls, hope that helps!”

“Great service from staff. Stopped here on a Sunday during the afternoon. My wife and children needed to use the restroom. My wife said restroom line for women was very long approx 10-15 people waiting but workers were able to crowd control and temporarily open up the men’s restroom to women and children only to move line faster. Restrooms were clean and store products were organized. Seemed to be family run with husband and wife and were doing a good job in managing customer needs while keeping a positive attitude.”

“This shell gas station is a convenient last gas stop before going into Dumont Dunes. Fortunately we don’t need to use the restrooms in this facility nor buy anything from the store. They also have separate Diesel pumps and Tesla charging stations.”
The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.

With its funny billboard ads, award-winning clean bathrooms, and branded items Buc-ee’s is hard to miss. The company wants people to actually plan to stop at Buc-ee's during road trips, not just go there as a last resort. And it's working - the chain has a huge fan base, with Facebook groups dedicated to Buc-ee's having hundreds of thousands of members.

Read the postLove's Travel Stops is rolling out a new system that turns work into a game for its restaurant employees. Picture this: Three big screens in each restaurant, tracking how fast workers greet customers, take orders, and hand out food. It's not just for show - early results say it's making service 11 seconds faster on average. "These monitors track key performance metrics in real-time, such as greet times, order processing times and the time it takes for food handoff," Love's explains. The system creates a more interactive environment, fostering friendly competition between stores.
