“I went with a friend because she told me they had a nice selection of plants and pots. I didn't realize that this store has a lot of really nice things. I ended up buying ingredients way more then I had planned on. The store was very clean and everyone working was very friendly and helpful.”
“I visited 4 different Dollar General's in Bakersfield and found that they are meccas for the homeless and pan-handlers, located in poorer sections of town. The hot sellers are toilet paper and laundry soap at bargain prices. I enjoyed shopping there during the holidays and found some great Christmas items for good prices. I downloaded the APP to get some other coupon discounts. Bring your own bags or pay 10 cents a bag. The location on Wilson Road does not have shopping carts. The restroom at the location on white lane was a disgusting mess. The location on South Chester has the smallest floor space and narrow aisles but was well stocked. The location on Brundage is a market with a larger floor space and a small selection of grocery items. They assisted a homeless man by watching his personal cart while he shopped. This was an act of kindness, however, just be aware to lock your car and watch your purse. The main reason I would shop there is for seasonal items.”
“Although, this whole shoplifting error is getting so annoying. I can honestly say that small, framed security guard with the gigantic, deep voice lol made my experience positive. I was not irritated at all having to wait by the door and thankfully they did not ask me to leave my purse at the front register.”

“Very clean and organized store but that is not the best part of this Dollar Tree. Recently my wife and I shopped here for a few items and I noticed an employee guiding a blind couple through the store to pick up their groceries and supplies. My heart felt joyful and my eyes got misty seeing the patience, compassion and empathy shown by the employee. Kudos to you and may god bless you!”

“This location definitely has way more stock and just way more items in all areas of the store. In comparison to the Ming location. Unless you’re looking for kitchen items then theming is perfect. The Ross next door does help but not dds. The lady’s at this white lane location the employees are all very helpful. They were kind enough to walk all the way to the back of the store to unlock the bathroom for me, it was almost closing time and I asked one lady, she was gone all the way to the front register for the key and came back and was happy to let me in. I love how inviting this dds is and how the store security greets you upon entering and lets you know that the few second hold is for the safety and security of all shoppers and store personnel. Not all stores have their security person properly trained in being approachable and inviting and well mannered and socially aware with all people.”
“While dinnertime approaches, it is often my anxiety that i....uh-oh....FORGOT SOMETHING!!! -N its always some fundamental part of the whole meal and so, without a minute to spare in our busy, busy life - i run down to DollarGen, where they almost always have what i need. This location has a little bit of everything. Great, low prices. But most prominantly, the staff. This group of employees are ALWAYS friendly, always helpful, always smiling, sometimes they even brighten my day if im having a hard one! They make the whole environment a welcoming and friendly and the experience a positive one. Whomever does the hiring n firing n put THIS group of employees together at this specific DG - somebody should definitely give THAT person a raise! Id choose to go to this location even if i lived clear across town! Overall i give it a 12 outta 10.”
“Dollar General Herkimer NY probably has most things you need to accommodate both expected and unexpected guests. Some of today's highlights include washable bathmats and area rugs. Beach towels are wonderfully colorful and are awesomely priced. I love to use these as bath towels. There is also a respectable collection of staple frozen foods.”

“Went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Called about a new Smok kit, had only one in the color I wanted (below) so they held it for me until I could come later in the day. Answered all my questions and had some great suggestions for issues I had with other mods and tanks I've had problems with. Very knowledgeable and friendly, store was easy to find with lots of street parking, competitive prices. Overall a very nice experience. Will def shop here again. :)”
“This place needs an update, seeing that the last review is from 2017 and all! .... So my family and I just moved in down the street and this place just happens to be the closest store of any kind that's in walking distance, so we decided to come and check it out. The store is filled with a variety of things! Pretty impressive actually! Kind of reminds me of a 99cent store mixed with a T-shirt shop, they have clothes, shoes, jewelry, belts, tools, shelf food, refrigerated items, snacks, cleaning supplies, hair, body and nail care supplies, tobacco and accessories, big living room sized rugs, pots and pans, etc... There's no way to name it all, but they have a lot! And is actually perfect for those 'quick runs' when you just need something immediately! The guy behind the counter was like an old time friend that we hadn't seen in forever! Just super friendly and happy to see us ! Lol Made us feel very welcomed! Shop is clean. Prices are low and vary. Husband got a nice thick hoodie, and a pair of Van shoes look-a-likes for work for like 40$! They even have ice! Haha. So glad we liked it because we'll be coming often!”
“Years ago, it was under different ownership and these two guys were brawling inside! I mean, ketchup, flour, fruit...EVERYWHERE! They made a huge mess and it ended with the one guy tossing the other onto a checkout line belt and yelling "PRICE CHECK ON A JACKASS!" before leaving...”

“I would give more then 6 Stars because it's such a great store everything is actually 1.25 that goes for the sodas and candy their all 1.25 instead of most stores at 2.99 or 3.99 which don't sound like much but that adds up a lot so it's a great place to save big money and as my home is nextdoor to it in the apartments almost all employees know me so I'm more then a customer over there and at prices of all 1.25 or 1.75 it's so good for shopping for junk food or even art supplies and cleaning supplies and foods dispite the air conditioning always broken it's just the best stores I been at”
