Inside Spiceland Subzi Mandi, 8500 Harris Rd, Bakersfield CA 93313
“I was in Bakersfield for a business meeting and stumbled upon this place in a little plaza. As soon as I entered the restaurant /grocery store I saw isles of cleanly stacked food items with the kitchen on one side. I ordered samosa for an appetizer and saag & baigan bhartha with garlic naan. Their samosas are out of this world and remind me of a famous sweet shop in Amritsar that I used to visit as a kid. The baigan bhartha was smoked to perfection and the naan were fresh. The saag however was made from authentic Punjabi recipe and lacked the flavors that go in making saag one of the best dishes of northern India. Overall experience was good and the staff was very courteous.”

“I love country club not only for their vast selection of craft beer/ alcohol, but their deli! I am completely obsessed with the Italian sandwich. Just have to ask for light condiments because it gets messy. Good bread and fresh deli meats/ cheeses. This is always a top contender with City Sandwich, my other fave. Nothing fancy about it but it doesn't have to be!!”

Neighborhood Market, 5625 Calloway Drive, Bakersfield CA 93312
“Ok, so let me just say this first... I hate going to the grocery store... Let alone a Walmart grocery store... So given the task by my wife to pick up some goods at my local Walmart Neighborhood market in this covid19 infection scary times --- I was less than pleased to say the least.. But to my surprised I was super pleased by the experience. I show up at store and it was really, really clean.. As I dashed through the store to get my stuff and the heck out; a super friendly Walmart worker named Roxanne gave me a Clorox wipe for the cart that I was (as she could obliviously see) barely touching. Even more impressive to me was her helpful and outwardly friendly attitude. She even took the time to help direct me to what isles I needed to go to.. For me and my frantic and absolutely "now wanting to be inside the store" attitude it was absolutely refreshing. The kicker in my whole story is as I was leaving she saw me and even made sure I had gotten all the stuff on the my list.. 5 Stars Walmart!!! Excellent customer service! My only complaint was the lack of being able to just do your pick-up thing, apparently you have no times that are ever available right now. Would have much preferred same experience sitting in my truck - just saying.”

“I had a carne asada burrito, though seemingly basic (only had carne asada, rice, and refried beans), it was very delicious. I only wish it came with more stuff, maybe I needed to specify that stuff but I have come to be expected to receive it/be asked if I wanted it.”

“I live one mile away from the store, but I do not have a vehicle. It is very convenient for me to place my order online and have it delivered to my home. They always deliver on time as promised and send me alerts when delivery is on its way and when it has been dropped off in the designated area I requested.”

“I had went in for my medication, usually I go to CVS but they did me dirty last time. Anyways I decided to go out of my way to come to this Walgreens location and the young man Marco really made everything so easy for me and he's the reason I'll be switching to Walgreens permanently, hopefully the young man is there again. Need more people like him in this world.”
