Irregardless of your income, you should always be considerate of everything. I purchase a lot of protein bars and get them here for 2.99 per box opposed to 7 or 8 elsewhere. Not everything is cheaper , only certain things.”

    “10 stars. I hadn't seen my little brother in nearly a decade and it was kind of a last minute decision to BBQ tri-tip. They had it already marinaded and perfectly ready to go for $10 less than the last tri-tip I'd gotten and I cooked it absolutely perfectly, gf cut it perfectly and it was absolutely the best thing I could've had to serve for my brother's visit. The folks working there feel like old friends the store itself is clean and smells good. I'll be sticking with this spot as long as I can.     “They are a little family owned and operated business. And when I started coming here, they repaved Thier driveway so it was easier for me in my wheelchair to come into the store. And if I needed anything I could not get to in my HD 20" wheelchair they helped me get it. They are always super nice and friendly especially to regulars. Great place with a wide range of things including bike tires, tools, and office supplies and the prices are decent. I got 6 rolled of tape for about $2 the last time I was in there. They do supply Mexican candy along with regular candy and they workers are always smiling.”

    “The staff in this store are amazing. I go here all the time. The inventory changes consistently and so do their sales. You can get most items as expected but they also have great deals on protein bars or other healthy foods. I think it is important to remember today's economy. You treat this as a quick little pop in for just about anything you need, or you can go here for specific items as I do. I pay about 4 dollars for protein bars which usually cost me 7 or 8 per box in other stores.”

    “Smart & Final on Mt. Vernon is the only place I get groceries. There is always plenty of parking, the prices are usually lowest, and the staff is the best. In particular, Jolanda, Christopher and Josh are helpful, friendly, and quick on the register. During off-peak hours, the lines are short, and they will usually open a new one if they need to. A special note about the security guard: One day my dog forced his way through the car window and ran into the store after me. The guard stopped him and, rather than lecturing me, he offered to hold onto the dog until I was finished. The people who work there make the place what it is. Even the shoppers there tend to be chill.”

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
