The Hideaway is a versatile event venue tucked away in Central Bakersfield, offering a park-like setting perfect for a variety of occasions. This half-acre property features a grassy area with mature trees, gardens, and jasmine-covered fencing, providing a serene and picturesque backdrop for events. The venue's gourmet kitchen is well-equipped, boasting a deep pit, grill, oven, warmers, sink, and double dishwashers, making it ideal for catering and hosting gatherings. The indoor hall is spacious, equipped with a full bar, kegerator, and shuffleboard, offering ample room for receptions and celebrations. The Hideaway has received positive reviews from past clients. One group used the venue for a Celebration of Life, accommodating their entire team as well as the deceased employee's family and friends. Despite the short notice, the property manager, Shannon Eckroth, was quick to communicate and assist in the organization. The group was able to set up outdoor tents and tables, while still having ample space for children to run around. They were pleased with the buffet-style setup inside the indoor hall and plan to use the venue again for company events. Another client, a company, has held their Christmas party at The Hideaway and plans to do so again this year, indicating their satisfaction with the venue's versatility and suitability for their needs.
