“This place is absolutely amazing and unlike any other venue in Bakersfield. It’s small, comfortable, and extremely clean!! I saw Strange Days who paid tribute to The Doors. As a person who is extremely fond of Jim Morrison’s work, poetry, and radical ideas; I was very impressed with the performance!! Rock on!!”
“Visited Bakersfield for Thanksgiving and I have a 17yo son crazy about tennis. So I emailed Tim on Wednesday afternoon and he got back to me the same day in spite of holiday hours. My son was able to play the Friday after Thanksgiving and find people to hit with. $25 day use for non member. Good all day and can leave and come back.
Also a great place to get your racquet restrung. They have a guy they send out to locally, reasonably priced and only a few days turnaround.

On the day of the party, we were welcomed by an incredible staff member at Salty’s who was exceptionally attentive, ensuring everything was set up perfectly. The Banquet was so clean!
The party was a celebration to remember, with an abundance of delicious food that delighted our 90 guests. The staff was not only fast and efficient in serving but also dedicated to keeping everything clean. I cannot express enough how wonderful the entire team at Salty’s was to my family. The bar and security staff were equally amazing, contributing to a truly enjoyable atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue; their competitive prices are unmatched for what they offer. With no need to worry about setup or cleaning, we focused solely on enjoying the celebration.”
“This place has all the amenities for a small or large group. It's very spacious, it's also located at a good location. The staff is very professional and the enterior and exterior is super clean. The sound system is state of the art and they have drop down movie screens. You'll enjoy every minute of your gathering at this place. I highly reccomend them for any occasion.”

“I’ve been to this house a few times for fundraisers like Oktoberfest, Holiday Market and the Mother’s Day Tea. I’ve had a great time at each event. You can tell the house has been newly renovated and the courtyard is nicely kept. Each event is decorated differently, which I think is cool. It’s never the same.The bathrooms are nice too and I noticed there is a kitchen with multiple ovens and fridges for caterers.It’s a truly beautiful building which I’m sure has tons of history behind it.I don’t have a need for a space yet, but would consider this location for a baby shower or something. Parking is easy too!Oh, and my mom won a $150 bottle of wine at the Mothers Day Tea so best believe we’ll be back!”

“It’s an older set of exhibits with some real world wear and tear. If you have kids that wanna run around and need to get out energy this place takes about 2.2miles of walking to complete(may vary on display that are open and how much your optimize the areas)
Recommend for kids and people who like, outdoors, old buildings, walking.
Place has little to no foot traffic in the three times we have been so great for a peaceful stroll.
Three indoor ac controlled areas the rest is up to the weather.

Highly recommend. Staff is friendly. Wild foxes do travel through the outdoor areas.”

“Had my son's wedding here on April 25th, and loved that we were able to have both the ceremony and reception here. They were cheaper than any of the indoor venues we were interested in.”
“A few weeks ago, our team lost an incredibly valued employee and we wanted to find a space for his Celebration of Life that would accommodate not only our whole group at BSW Roofing but also his family and friends.
We decided on The Hideaway venue and it was a really good choice. Even though it was short notice (a week or so), we were able to get it coordinated with the property manager, Shannon Eckroth. She was quick to communicate with us and help get us organized.
We had around 60+ people join us. After we set up large outdoor tents and tables, we still had half the property available for the kids to run around.
Even though we set up outside, we had our food set up buffet style inside. It worked really well for us and we will definitely use the property again for company potlucks and holiday parties.”

“great place very fun the ac is not the best but u can’t expect to not be sweating when your skating but there is fans u could go to so u can cool off but the floor could use new work on it little bit of holes where i almost tripped over, service is good and the workers are nice to kids the food and drinks are very good and reasonable prices been going here since i was young and never had any problems except from the people u buy the tickets from they sometimes are rude just wish they would bring the games but and not just only doing races”
“My wife and I went to the home show at the Kern County Fairgrounds. It was a very nice event...keep in mind the vendors are attempting to solicit you to purchase their respective products!
