“I have been donating for years to Dress for Success. The staff is always friendly and professional, and they will come out to my vehicle to take the clothes, shoes etc. I love the mission of this organization and would not donate anywhere else. A very empowering organization that truly dresses women for success!!”

“I love the mission of this second hand store. It is run by volunteers, ladies in the Assistance League of Bakersfield. The proceeds go to purchase new clothing for local underprivileged children through Operation School Bell. Hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. (Holidays they are closed and they take a break in the summers.) They accept donations on Monday mornings I believe. Brands sold are Chicos, Talbots, Liz Claiborne, for women. For men there is Polo by Ralph Lauren, Tommy Bahama and many other brands. Some items still have tags on them. Never been worn. There is an assortment of jewelry, houseware items, wall art, some furniture, linens, sporting goods, children's clothes, and accessories for women/men. I highly recommend stopping by.”

“If it if you can't find it here, you don't need it! Its more of an experience so plan on spending an hour or so. Kelley is great, top- notch service and gives credit for donations and willing to work with you. She does estate cleanouts and doesn't take advantage like all the others, very fair.”

“This place is so great! Second hand kid's clothes are well organized by gender and size. The first rack is seasonal and when I was in most recently had some adorable Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day clothes. As you venture more in they have regular clothing items. I always find something cute for my daughter. I've purchased Cat & Jack brand, H&M, Old Navy, and an adorable Seven for All Mankind denim vest. Score!!!They also have a variety of shoes, swaddles, bath items, toys, books, and movies. I also love their seasonal decor section. Lots of cute Valentine's Day items out right now--paper plates, wall decor, gifts for friends, classmates. Both visits to this store have been wonderful. I will continue to pop in and see what's "new" to me! Great staff and prices too.”

“They're really friendly and nice and helpful in this thrift store. They have a LOT crammed into a relatively small store. The mens clothes section is a little difficult to deal with because everything is so tight and crammed in. The book section is really wonderful here. There's a little bit of everything in this thrift store and they keep it tidy for how much stuff is within the depths. Seemed to be some good vintage womens clothes but that's not really my wheelhouse. Give this place your business before patronizing any of the awful Goodwills in Bakersfield! Help the doggos and catz”

“Lily is personable and her prices are fair. She has so many little treasures in her store, and at times, prices are negotiable. I would suggest following her instagram page, she usually posts previews of newly arrived items. True thrift store and not antique shop. Highly recommend!”

“It's really a great place to go to if you need food, clothes or even to set and relax for the day. Everyone works there is so nice and friendly, I have been going there since I became homeless and I won't stop.”

“This small woman owned place is ran out of a shipping container! I stopped in bakersField for the day for a work trip, and found a cool coffee/breakfast place! This awesome place is right in the parking lot next to the coffee shop. It caught my attention due to the fact that it's all pink everything, which is my dream for my home aesthetic. I walked around bakersField for a little bit then circled back to my car and decided to go see what it was! Turns out it was this little thrift boutique! The owners were incredibly cool and nice, and there was tons of cute stuff! They really did an amazing job with the space and you could tell they hand selected each item they sold. I ended up finding this pair of shorts that fit like a glove, I've been looking for some cut offs all summer can't wait to come back next time!”

“the older short woman that works there, mostly seen her on register and fixing shoes. always has attitude towards customers. yells at the homeless. she should get spoken too. last time i check any type of customer is making her check, she isnt bring anything to the store but loosing customers. also the management an older black hair female ( maybe manager) is a complete joke does nothing to solve the issue. just looks at the cashier and gets mad. as i was walking away they started to laugh. POS people. that store is a joke.”

“Do you have time to spare? Are you patient? Looking for bargains? Well, you may want to head on over to this Goodwill store. We dropped by on a Sunday morning. Store looks good from the outside. When you step inside the store, though, it does not impress. There is a sort of musty odor, but it should not come as a surprise cause all the merchandise has been donated by good folks. They do not carry brand new merchandise here. Although some stuff do have their original sticker tags. Wifey found some great deals on name brand clothing. She was very happy which made me very happy! Happy wife means happy life!! Check out this Goodwill if you have the time. Never know what you may find.”

“Found emergency attire for work, had a bad experience with Paragon Cleaners in Visalia. They purposely overcharged me $321 for my 4 blazers and did alterations without me being there to measure me properly. I had no attire for work so I came to this Goodwill and found everything I needed for work. Was able to put some outfits together for work.Very satisfied with the quality of the clothing I purchased.”

“I love this Goodwill. It is t the biggest or busiest in Bakersfield but the people are awesome and they are always playing good music! I tell myself to keep shopping until I hear a song I don't know every word of, I spend hours sometimes !!??????”

“As someone who was there early for the sale I can tell u that Anonymous Cockatoo is completely full of it. Nobody is “paying 100 dollars to get in early” that is the stupidest thing I ever heard. It’s a thrift store! Not an high end sample sale!!! Come on!!! The “African American worker that starts with the "K"”….was nice enough to let us in early because she saw us standing in line in the COLD. She is the sweetest person and Salvation Army is lucky to have her! Please Salvation Army don’t listen to bitter greedy RESELLERS like Anonymous Cockatoo who take the fun out of thrifting and are just mad they weren’t able to HOG everything to themselves.”

“Nice clean store. Not too big where it's overwhelming. The workers do a good job at sorting and color coordinating the clothing. The people who receive the donations are always very friendly. The only negative was a very long SLOoOoOw line...”

“I like going to second hand shops and this one I went to. It had alot of different things. I mean from school supplies, dishes, and of course clothing. What an array of outfits. Like Gowns to play clothes for men women and children. Also a good shoe section. Not what you imagine shoes there look like but nice shoes and I even bought some shoes. Not worn either. The prices have gone Up almost the same price as department stores only a few $$$less. So if you like going through things on a slow day you can spend hours there. Check it out”

“We always have the best luck finding things at this location! Headed there yesterday and while there had Terry be super helpful. She works shipping and receiving but was so helpful when my daughter had spilled her drink and we needed help with clean up. Then she saw us waiting for changing rooms while 3 other staff looked away and she was right over to help us get access! Thank you Terry!”
