“I don't usually write review, but I feel like to write a review to thank Judy, she is so far the most helpful and patient pharmacist I have ever met. My dad's prescriptions were sent to a wrong pharmacy, however I was not able to get it transfer due to insurance issue, I called Safeway and Judy picked up the phone, she didn't only help me to solve my prescriptions problem by calling different parties, on top of that, she also provided various options for me in order to avoid the problem to happen again. I didn't expect to get this outstanding customer service from a pharmacy.. Thank you Judy again!”
“I strongly recommend Walgreens for local photo printing. They still use a good-quality (150 - 200 GSM) photo paper for their prints whereas with the paper CVS now uses, you had might as well print your photos at home on regular printer paper. Walgreens for classic quality. ?”
“Prescriptions are filled quickly and you can actually get someone on the phone, way better than some of the nearby chains such as Rite-Aid where I've had issues in the past.Only two minor things that can easily be fixed:- I would love to see them install bike parking with how close this pharmacy is to residents and the bike trail.- A clerk opened the stapled bag of my prescription, to "make sure everything was in there" while checking out, which can feel invasive with other customers around. I would have preferred she let me check discreetly.”

“I received excellent service from a pharmacist named Christine today. Insurance had declined to cover the medication, and the cash price was $600... I declined to pay that, but after a week I realized I needed the medication so I came back resigned to pay the $600. Then a lady name Christina took my case and worked on her computer for a long time and was able to get it down to $200... She found a coupon card of some kind. So I'm very grateful for the excellent service I have received at CVS in San Carlos. I have also noted that they don't put you through the ringer as other pharmacies do for certain prescriptions.Thanks a lot guys!”

Despite this CVS Pharmacy's location, in the middle of an incredibly busy Target Store, the staff are courteous, quick and professional! I've encountered the same service at the CVS in Daly City, Gellert Blvd. and I was incredibly happy to receive the same level of service within this location! I fully understand that businesses have to be aware of how they're rated online but these folks at CVS go above and beyond, from my perspective. Thank You very much!”

“I love this Safeway! It’s my favorite in the Bay Area since they stay open 24/7 they also have a hot food & a salads bar. The staff are always very friendly especially the “ice cream man” (I feel terrible but I’m drawing a blank on his name) but he is super friendly & very helpful & just fun to chat with especially when it’s 3am & barely any customers… he’s around cool.
I also love the large size of this Safeway! And now that San Mateo’s Safeway is no longer open 24/7 ? it appears that this is only one open all night so I ?? hoping that they don’t start closing this location especially since I’m nocturnal ?”

“I called the pharmacy on Saturday(04/12/2025) to notify the pharmacist I lost my prescription and he was so understanding and nice on the phone. The pharmacist understood the situation, and applied a discount card because insurance did not cover lost medication. He filled the medication and was ready on time without any hassle. The cashier in the pharmacy was helpful. The pharmacist is nice, helpful, and very good looking as well. ?
Also, received a covid booster shot there six months ago(October 2024), from the same pharmacist who helped me on the phone, also administered the vaccine was thorough, and answered all my concerns regarding the vaccine.”

“Not bad.. we tried the pizza & it's not that bad for a Safeway brand take & bake type. & did you notice there's no take & bake places over here in this area like papa Murphy's. It's a nice clean quiet store. Service was what it was, cause we checked our self out at the self check out. Everything seemed stocked up, everyone was busy filling the shelves & they are open late.”
