Opened in 1930, it is an architectural wonder with historic arches, details, and a bridge. The ambience is authentic, vintage, and charming, with a distinct atmosphere that feels like a fully functioning club. It is centrally located in Berkeley right near the university campus. It is a highly recommended hotel with 35 cozy, quiet, and comfortable rooms, including large suites that feel like an apartment. The beds are very comfortable and the staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, thoughtful, accommodating, and detail-oriented. The service is excellent, with a team that is responsive and goes above and beyond, ensuring everything runs seamlessly and flawlessly for events. The venue is phenomenal for weddings and events, leaving guests dazzled and having an incredible, lovely, and unforgettable time. The plated dinner food is phenomenal, impressive, and perfectly cooked, with the ability to accommodate dietary needs. The breakfast is quite good, featuring excellent pastries, quiche, and a continental spread. The bar area is lively in the evening, and there is a 24/7 free tea and coffee station. Overall, it is an excellent, special place for a truly wonderful experience.
Showed up for an event nine months late. The place was elegant, spotless and the staff were great.

Classy place. The architecture is beautiful and there’s a lot going on like bridge! Centrally located in Berkeley right near campus. I stayed for a friends wedding and we had a lovely time. Staff was all very friendly and accommodating.
