“This place is so much fun!!!We had the chance to have the place to ourselves and it was epic. First time ace throwing and the staff were so nice and helpful. We got a detailed explanation of how to throw the different axes and then just went for it. More tiring than I expected and an hour of throwing was just the right amount of time we needed.”

“I visited Urban Adamah for a weekend retreat and had a very positive experience! Considering I was staying on a farm, I was not expecting the accommodations to be so nice, that's for sure. The rooms had bunk beds, but they were study and relatively comfortable, with outlets by every bed. The bathrooms were very modern and clean, as well. I really enjoyed exploring the property and playing with the goats! It felt very safe staying here, as they locked the front gate most of the time, especially overnight. The staff here were also great and dedicated to the success of the farm. Shoutout to Jesse for cooking up some delicious food all weekend! I will definitely leave Urban Adamah feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! Highly recommend coming to the farm to learn more.”

“We went here for brunch. Good, unique food! Service was good, staff was very nice, consistent with a chill Berkeley vibe. I tried the southern style breakfast, which was a nice healthier take on southern classics. Good flavor. The baked egg was perfect, and in a cute shape. Loved the greens and the yam, and the black-eyed peas were lovely. The cornbread could've been a bit more moist I thought, but overall enjoyed it!”

“Cute spot! Love the ambiance and feel, drinks were delicious and it was a perfect pre dinner drink spot while we waited for our table at Angeline's next door. Service was good.”

“I finally took the time to come to Cornerstone Berkeley. It was surprisingly empty when I came in, with only 4 other customers inside. I had the Avocado Burger with fries and 2 beers (Cornerstone Blonde). They tasted great. I also liked the 4 TV hanging above the bar area, where you can watch several different sporting events. When I went to the restroom, I noticed the concert area for the live shows. Rather small for a concert area for my tastes, but if I ever see an event to my liking, I will try to come. The staff was friendly and helpful, big shout out to them. I will try to come at a later hour on my next trip here, just to see the larger crowd that come here.”

“Wonderful wine shop with a HUGE selection of reasonably priced wines, as well as a few $$$. The proprietor and staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I ducked in to grab a bottle and asked for a French in the $30-50 range was was pleasantly surprised when they recommended a $32 bottle instead of a $48 bottle. Way to make a sale and get a fan for life! They also do tastings, at least on the Friday I was there. I can't wait to go back and explore their selection more.”

“As many of you know, the Golden Gate Fields is going to be closing their door permanently. This is what drove us to visit the racetrack. We stayed for 3 races. Got there early to get the lay of the land. Look for parking ($10 cash), pay for admission ($5 cash), purchase a program ($6 cash). We bought some food from the snack booth. As a vegetarian, there were some options, such as muffin, cookies, nachos, popcorn and I can't remember. I had a muffin and cup of hot tea. Oh there is a bar in the middle of the building and downstairs. We placed our bets with a human. You can opt for the machines. A nice lady told me since we're newbies, to utilize the staff. Our bet taker lady was very nice. We did some research on how you place a bet. You say the horse number of which race, and the style you want to bid, Win, Place or Show. Each race is 30 minutes apart.I loved the view of the racetrack, so well maintained. We sat in a box, there isn't reserved seating. Just go wherever you wish. We explored the different levels. My favorite was watching the horses being brought into the stables, they are so beautiful!!!! Watching the jockeys be lifted onto their horse, like they are light as air. Believe it or not, I saw little kids here, that were having fun. This can be a family friendly environment. We ended watching our last race on the ground level. That was exhilarating. So close to the action. We want to go back again, I hope that we do. There were like 5 more races that day, but we wanted to beat Bay Bridge traffic. Please support this local legend before it is made into most likely housing. Jack Kerouac wrote about going to races here. I'm sure there are other historical writings of this classic venue.”

“While looking for a place to learn how to enjoy whiskey, I stumbled upon this place, for the second time, (forget what it was 30 years ago)Is the epitome of a warm cozy spot. Super friendly staff, informative about whiskey, great clientele, and decent prices all make for one great experience. I will be back!”

“We came here for a concert at the Greek theater, walking distance. The location is perfect for that. The location is on campus and close to restaurants and shopping. Free breakfast next door at Cafe Strada was a bonus. You get a coffee ( latte, etc), pastry, fresh fruit, and OJ. The location is next two greek houses so a little loud at times. Parking is $15/night.Rooms: Rooms are small, no AC but ceiling fan”

“I've had an office at WeWork for the past 6 months and my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. In a world where the focus is often solely on profit and productivity, it's refreshing to find a workspace that prioritizes the well-being of its employees and guests.People at WeWork are talented and driven, yet also down-to-earth and supportive. There's a sense of camaraderie here that I haven't experienced at other workplaces. Here, kindness and professionalism coexist, making it not just a place to work for a paycheck, but a community where you can grow and thrive.”

“Stopped by the other week on a Saturday night. All of our interactions with the staff were friendly and nice. The space was huge! I was bummed to see how empty it was - given Berkeley doesn't have many spaces like this, it was surprising. Campus isn't too far away - so I'm wondering how they can figure out how to get folks in the door. I want businesses to succeed, I hope they do!”

“From the first call to make the reservation, to the follow up text after check out, the customer service was outstanding. The rooms were clean and it was quiet. I would highly recommend staying here if you're in Berkeley.”

“We booked the Claremont for our wedding suite and couldn't have been happier. The room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the bay, and the grounds had a 20th-century, luxiorious feel without seeming too outdated. Each member of the staff we coordinated with was very friendly and flexible as well.”
