I gave her a bottle and price target with a few tasting notes and in under an hour, Arielle selected a spot-on assortment that maximized every criteria I provided. I am so appreciative of the care and attention I received and impressed by the wonderful selection of offerings in this shop. The absolute cherry on top was Arielle even texting me a photo of the wine line up so I could preview the bottles for the gift recipients! What a gem this place is!!”

“Wonderful wine shop with a HUGE selection of reasonably priced wines, as well as a few $$$. The proprietor and staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I ducked in to grab a bottle and asked for a French in the $30-50 range was was pleasantly surprised when they recommended a $32 bottle instead of a $48 bottle. Way to make a sale and get a fan for life! They also do tastings, at least on the Friday I was there. I can't wait to go back and explore their selection more.”

“North Berkeley Imports set the bar for selection and service. They offer a list of incredibly high quality, French and Italian grower-producer wines, which I think is among the best in the business. Their selection of small producer burgundy I find to be extraordinary.This will be no surprise to those of you who do business with them, but their staff of account managers and sales people are just wonderful to work with. Brain, who manages my account, is always so gracious and helpful, he's introduced me to countless wines I would never have discovered without his help.They ship out of state. I regularly buy from NJ and have never had a serious issue. The wine arrives well packaged every time. Shipping is typically free @ 6+ bottles.”
“Sweet homey spot with a great selection of beers and cider (and now mixed drinks)! I've always loved the shop for gifty drinks to bring to parties -- love that I can sample the wares in the taproom what a great idea. Super unpretentious place to have a chill drink and sit around with some friends or make some. Maybe I'm old but I appreciate we can chat and actually hear each other. Nicole's the cherry on top!~”

“Great little wine shop in the 4th street area. Good selection of international wines as well as some very small local producers. Staff are super knowledgeable and helpful. The 7 wines for $70 is a steal and always offers an interesting mix.”

“This was never a haunt for me because I no longer live in the area. Three of the most miserable years of my life. So much for the joys of Berkeley Hills living! Anyhow, I came by here to get some stuff for the holiday, Cheeseboard had a huge line and after surgery, I wasn't going to wait. I'm an Andronicos girl, but this place was closer to the Cheeseboard and I came here. It wasn't as busy as I expected. It was nice and Christmassy. I found what I wanted right away. It's a clean store and I was confident that if I'd gone into the bathroom, that it would be clean, unlike the bathroom in El Cerrito.The only issue is that I was looking for some Mexican corn chips and the El Cerrito Store has them. For some reason, they don't have them here. Probably, not a lot of Mexican people. But as a non-Mexican woman, who likes some of their chips (which says a lot because I don't eat chips from other countries - England/France ...no thanks). But they lose a star for having plenty of food for fancy folks but nothing really for those of us with less fancy tastes in chips.I had a former friend from high school who used to work there and I remember running into her once. I was hoping that I'd run into her. No such luck. Last time I saw her was over 20 years ago and when I've come in, I've stopped asking for her.I'm not in the area much, but if I need to get something and don't want to traverse the aisles of Andronicos, I will definitely stop in for something.”
“My go to place everyday, live down the street and I come here for all my daily needs. No matter if it's early morning or late night, got everything I need. Huge selection of snacks and drinks that satisfy every need. And my favorite thing about this store is that the drinks are always super cold, perfect for any day. Arab brother and other homie super cool, treat me like family , never no complain. Have to come by and check it out.”
