“I came to see a DJ by the name of Fisher this last Saturday. Parking was a it of a hassle but I didn't pay too much ($21). I walked about 2-3 blocks. Entering the venue was smooth and organized. Venue is clean and nice inside with high ceilings and lots of lighting. We then went down into the lower deck by escalator. The show was held inside a huge hanger-like area. 25 aircrafts can easily fit inside. It was huge. There were two bathrooms areas but was not enough to stop the lines from forming. A row of port-o-potties lined up against the furthest wall from the stage. It's a great venue and am grateful it was cool enough and didn't get stuffy. I definitely will return!!!”
“A solid shopping center with easy parking.
Very good Trader Joe's, with very helpful staff as always. Mediocre but large Lucky's, with mediocre prices (produce in particular) and selection. CVS is better than in Berkeley, but surprisingly limited shelf availability. Maybe a sign of the times. A few specialized stores.”
“Nice for a walk. The shops are almost 100% oriented towards souvenirs, which takes away the fun a bit. Quite a few people depending on what time you go. To see the sea lions I recommend going in the morning or before sunset since at night they can barely be seen with the little light there is. There is the famous Bubba Gump, for some seafood dinner, although expensive. Difficult to park on the weekend if you don't want to spend a fortune.”
“Beautiful waterfront space to eat or walk ~ Jack London Square holds a special place in my heart as I used to live/work in the lofts walking distance nearby before anything developed into what it is today. I still remember taking our Australian shepherd for a walk along the way when it was just a few restaurants (some still there/some not), barely any residents or grass for her to play. Whenever I'm back in the area, this is one of the areas I'll revisit to eat at a restaurant, catch the sunset or early morning coffee walk. The marina is relatively clean, peaceful, family and pet/pedestrian-friendly, with views of Alameda and San Francisco. Modern wooden benches and decent public restrooms are available. While I prefer not to use public restrooms if there's other options, the women's restrooms here thankfully did not make me cringe. Some restaurants open up around 11am. Metered parking or garage parking options. With one of my fave Farmhouse Thai restaurants here, it's always a good reason to come to Jack London Square or for farmers market. If I were ever to live in Oakland again, this would be a potential neighborhood.”
“Anything accessible for the kids during the summer months where parents are struggling to find things for the kids to do is always a plus! Good going Southshore.”

“Unusual court in Oakland where testing and reading are encouraged (the Asian library). Clean, where the different generations mix. We should have more of it in the Bay.”
“This shopping area is within walking distance of my house. It has pretty good variety for a smaller shopping area. We got Mexican, Chinese, Sushi, and a Pizza place. There's a Safeway, UPS store, coffee shop, dry cleaners, dog groomer, Edwards Jones, a 24 hr fitness, a couple realtors, and a nail shop. There's a ballpark, public library, basketball court, tennis courts nearby. There's a community center, Christian Church, and Temple Israel, a two day care centers. It's a solid neighborhood center. Too bad the owner is trying to level it and build more houses. We need nearby goods and services for a better quality of life more than we need several hundred more neighbors.”
“Stop by periodically to shop at Old Navy for the extended family.
Kids grow up quickly and Old Navy has been instrumental in being part of their lives.
This is the nearest store in the area.”
“Good collection of stores, nice walking path next to the water. There's a grocery, a ups store, a gas station, a car wash, a carbon health, a sushi place and a bunch of other restaurants, not to mention that walkway and lots of free parking. It's a little area where you can show up and get all your work done in quick succession”
“FoodMax store on 10950 International Blvd in Oakland, California within the 94603 zip code area provided me my exact sought out products and great CUSTOMER SERVICE on October 18, 2024 between 7pm to 8:45pm. Rotisserie Chicken? Potato salad? It's good eating with a quick preparation for a single fifty-nine(59) year old African American man. A Returning Customer or client, Mr Pea without a Ms Pea to operate as so or just Marcus.

“Mel's Diner Pinole great place to eat clean always great service I always came there as a group play serve groups really fast and really well giving groups all their attention that's needed food is wonderful my favorite is the BLT with avocado on the side and a cup of clam chowder wonderful meal that fabulous cornbread”
“Great as always. I love the gluten free salami and peppers pizza ($3 more for gluten free) and salad getting a Mama Mía. I especially love the salami, although I'd prefer less (if my choice there would be no) black pepper on the salami.”
“Lots of stuff to do at the Metreon. Dinner, movies, roof deck, buying things at Target, Imax, ice cream, hanging out in the park. So many things
The IMAX is amazing and quite often sold out for big blockbusters. And the Dolby theater is my favorite. Such amazing sound!”
“Lots of great businesses at San Pablo Towne Center, but lots of garbage at the huge parking lot, so there is a need for maintenance to give this place a 5 stars review!”
“It's a beautiful Plaza with a lot of shops and places to eat. Unfortunately, I was not feeling well enough to go in to browse. I plan to come back with my daughter in the near future.”
“The DDs store, which is in that shopping plaza, sells clothing, shoes and accessories, it is very varied, low prices, lower than Ross, and of good quality too. I recomend it to you!”
“Good place for Asian restaurants, Chinese herbs, and more. There often seems to be a new restaurant opening or getting ready to open. Ranch 99 is the anchor here, selling Asian groceries, produce, prepared food, fresh/ live seafood, name it and they probably have it.”
“I love this shopping center at Foothill Square! The ROSS here is so much better than the one in The City at Market & 4th Streets. There was a line of approximately 300 people when I took a fellow veteran to buy some shoes there. Only 5 registers open, 50 security guards standing around doing nothing, no wonder people steal the stuff here! I called a manager over, handed her the shoes and told her I was posting the deplorable conditions here on Google!Spend less on “security” and hire more cashiers!Went to Footlocker and got the veteran his shoes! The ROSS at Foothill Square was cleaner, better stocked and even with about a hundred people in line to pay for their items, it only took 13 minutes to get to the cashier! That is great customer service!!!”
“Starbucks at College Center Richmond offers quick, friendly service and a cozy spot to relax. Right nearby, the Army Recruiting Station provides helpful, no-pressure guidance for anyone exploring career, education, and benefit opportunities. Convenient pairing for coffee lovers and future soldiers alike.”
“We had so much fun at Pier 39, the weather was perfect! Our Goldendoodle puppy saw the barking sea lions for the first time and they barked back and forth lol! We even took him inside a photo booth, while they didn't turn out perfectly lol, we now have memories to cherish! The shops and restaurants are endless, I purchased a couple things from Aleenk Technologies and we had lunch at Pier Market restaurant! I would HIGHLY recommend visiting Pier 39, for breathtaking views and unique businesses! We parked on the 3rd floor at Pier 39 Parking Garage and it led straight to the Pedestrian Bridge Walkway, the access to Pier 39 shops and restaurants! We are looking forward to returning to check out The Flyer when I'm no longer pregnant! Maybe we'll even add a love lock to the Pier! ;-) SYOY!”
“Embarcadero 2 has the 2024 Chinese New Year Parade Dragon on display. This will be used in the parade on Saturday, February 24, 2023. Whenever there is a new dragon or lion, there is an Eye Dotting ceremony (awakening of the dragon); a ritual practiced by martial artists and monks. It protects the performers from harm. If you look closely, you might be able to see "red" coloring on the dragon's eyes. This ritual is only used once - before the dragon is used for performances/displays. If you have the opportunity, drop by to see it. It's located on the corner of Sacramento and Drumm Streets. If you have time, walk around the 4 Embarcaderos to see/visit the different shops and restaurants. There's even a post office.”
“Always traffic but if you PAUSE and find your way to the streets just underneath on South side you will wander up on a local's love ❤️ park. Hidden gem for those in the know, ya know?”
“A surprise package. I happened to be there by accident and never expected a mall of this stare and quality. Notable places were the VR place, full of kids noise, then pepple indian restaurant..that looked cool n premium. A Korean Asian fusion place was new to me, and finally a new brand in ice cream.. .a lot of regular places like shack shack etc are there. Just close by, you have apple store, philz coffee, purple..a regular high end mall stores... place has been built new and you can also see band getting ready fir the evening drill..I did not stay that long to see them doing live performance but I van image the fun of being at the second floor in open air and having favorite food and drinks...A must try for people who look for cool n fun places in bay area!!!!”
“My favorite local Safeway ever since College Ave stopped being 24 hours. Booo, COVID! You'd think it would go back to normal by now. I guess this is the "new normal". It sucks. But this Safeway is still a good store, and open until 2 a.m., at least..”
“I go out of my way to shop at Hercules Home Depot. The one in El cerrito has day laborers everywhere and they run up to your car to try to get work. I don't feel safe”
“Large movie house in the Hilltop plaza that offers English and East Indian movies. Beautiful lobby area and limited bistro tables
Lots of free parking and close to public transportation. Nice staff”
“Went down here for the first time in years to check out the mahjong pick up games next to the chess “tables” - was so surprised to see it so clean and no smell of urine - and less of the drugged out homeless scene that I feared dealing with - it’s definitely still there but obviously the city and police seem to be doing something right here - I rode BART to Civic Center from Glen Park - and saw appropriate levels of visible security - I felt safe and stayed a little longer to go get a bite to eat at the Saigon sandwich shop down the street with friends I met there - and went to the public library to use the restroom and again surprised at how clean it was and had appropriate level of supervision in the restroom with someone making sure it was clean and safe with no loiterers etc. I’ll definitely come back. Hope this trend continues and the city takes moves soon to improve union square with a night market and street fair or something to make visitors feel like it’s worth coming down there.”
“This is where Cupid shoots his bow unlucky Americans and foreigners especially on fleek wait times it's a beautiful place to hang enjoy the day and to take a load off the to be around universal mixture of people we just along the water for you simply just can be yourself to enjoy your friends time or on family time or along time”
“What a fun place for a shopping trip...parking is, like in so many other places, the biggest hurdle. They'd probably be twice as busy with free and plentiful parking options....tons of places to eat, to have a coffee or a treat...the Sur La Table store is probably the nicest and largest in the bay area. Great place if you are on the hunt for quality cutlery or cookware. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff ( I was checking out their deals on Staub?). Always worth a trip?”
