“I just needed one quick thing. Trader Joe's served well. I might shop Trader Joe's more often but there is not one near my house or along my usual routes. They tend to be very faithful for the basic and wholesome groceries they carry.
If you are not familiar with this chain, there are a few things to know. Do not expect to find a lot of national brands, instead most things they carry are house brands. Do not expect to find that unusual ingredient for some fancy new recipe, what they carry are everyday type items. They do get some seasonal things, like canned pumpkin near Thanksgiving.
The stores are fairly small, but usually busy. They are also usually located in busy strip centers. While I do expect to be able to find parking somewhere, I find I need to be prepared to park several stores down.”

“Watch the prices because they aren’t always the best. I do my standard shopping at winco. They have great deals on stuff that’s about to be expired. Be careful though because I’ve gotten a few items that were past their expiration date.”

“Oakley Main St., Somersville, and Sand Creek locations offer much of the same products yet some different inventories so it's always an adventure when passing time to peruse all the aisles. Staff is always pleasant and prices more than fair. I can never leave without first examining the cheese selection and ethnic aisles.”

“First time ever going into a WinCo. It's like Foodmax and Grocery Outlet had a baby. Prices are surprisingly affordable, produce is surprisingly decent, low l lots of cool stuff in bulk and they have everyday household products. Staff is friendly but kinda lack that engagement that makes it memorable. Aside from that, I'm definitely making it a regular spot to get my things.”

“Love this little taco shop. I get the buche, asada, and al pastor and the meat is always well seasoned and well portioned. Each taco order comes with grilled onions, radishes, and a lime. Super friendly staff too.
I get quite a bit of fresh meat here too. We love their Al pastor and asada for tacos at home. Give this market a chance, it’s definitely well stocked and reasonably priced.”
“My family loves olive oil and this place is like heaven to us. Huge selection of their fresh extra virgin oil. Their olive farm is down the street. Their customer service is amazing and very welcoming. The young lady in the morning was very helpful and knowledgeable. We also got to taste some oils with some bread (FREE) it was a great experience. Highly recommend.”
“This is the cleanest FoodMaxx that I have been to ever. And I think this is the biggest one also. A lot of the stuff is organized. One thing that's bad is they only have one cashier sometimes they will have two on a good day. So the line is pretty long”
“Great place for local Mexican market and seasoned meats ready to bbq. I used to have to drive to Brentwood for my carnes but now these dudes are right here local in town. I like the fresh tortillas from El molino they are most authentic and made in concord. They have good salsas premade in the meat section when I'm in a rush and hungry. Cheeses are great too. I support them 120%”

We stopped to take a walk and check out the Sacramento River at the Rio Vista City Hall.Rio Vista, California, is a nice community with many public events throughout the year. “I have not shopped at this store for a long time because I was tired of dealing with rude people (customers and cashiers) and stepping over homeless people when I arrived early in the morning. I am happy to say that I am glad to see that Safeway has made it feel safe again. It is really sad that it had to resort to gates and security people and closed off sections but something had to be done. I am glad that Safeway did this. Also - a shout out to people who work there- they were friendly and polite when I talked with them and needed help.”

I called, asking for a 1/4 sheet cake for a wedding celebration that took place one month after the couple's wedding. I described in detail what I was looking for in name, design and detail. Tobi listened, caught my vision and said, "I got you!". Music to my ears!!! Then, Toni created the perfect cake and design for the occasion!!! An absolute blessing for the couple and guests!!!

“This is a 24 hour Safeway and it's one of the most beautiful stores I have been in it has a gas station and I think the gas station is open all night the whole strip mall is really nice it has that great Safeway smell and is well organized.”

“This new Safeway is absolutely beautiful. Everything is clean and well stocked every time I visit! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable for the most part, as they're a new store and everyone is still getting the hang of everything. There's a gentleman that works in the butcher department that greets me every time I'm there, and we chit chat for a bit. He always makes sure i'm finding everything that I'm looking for. It's refreshing to see some smiling faces while shopping!”

“Recently moved to Bethel Island. Market food prices are a little high but the location of the store is so convenient. Plus you can get your propane tank re-filled, get gasoline, liquor and add money to your prepaid credit cards. Public laundromat is just behind the store. It’s a hidden jewel in The Island and a one stop shopping center. Owners are very friendly and appreciative you shopping in their establishment.”
