“We stopped by looking for a few fruit trees for our new garden and were so excited to see how many varieties this nursery carries. Andy helped us pick out a lovely pomegranate tree and Dave assisted with our avocado tree. Andy is hilarious and provided us with a ton of information on proper tree care! We'll definitely be back in the future if we ever need more fruit trees.”
“Great place to find everything from seeds to trees, plus everything you need to plant and manage them. They have compost in bulk, and offer ponds and the plants that go in them too. Great staff. Very knowledgable on growing plants in San Diego and the native plants as well.
Parking is not great, but worth the little bit of effort. Love this place.”

“This a great place but they do have two locations and this one is the smaller one. Their indoor plant selection was a bit low the day we went and so we're the snacks. Not sure if we went on an off day but besides that great place to show for plants!”
“This is a fun nursery, that's dog friendly but they must be leashed because they have free roaming chickens here. You can Meander through the garden center that takes up quite a bit of space and in the center has a very nice reading room platform. There are plenty of restaurants around to pick up lunch or even better wait till afternoon and try to make it to one of the places that doesn't open until dinner for more choices. They are friendly and knowledgeable and have a nice clean bathroom. I felt the prices were a little high but this is prime real estate in a beautiful neighborhood and it's an experience so if you're looking for destination nursery experince this is a great place to go.”

“The staff here were awesome, James in particular helped us out a ton. He knew pretty much everything there is to know about plants, and was just an overall nice person. The plants themselves were beautiful, and the nursery is as well. The prices are fair, too. Overall a great place to visit :)”
“In April 2026 I bought a sweet lime, a white Pakistan mulberry, in May I came here again and bought a Walnut tree. Now they are all growing well in my garden. I have visited and purchased trees from several nurseries in San Diego County. I got to say: this one is the best! better trees, better price and better service. For each tree purchased, they put the whole pot in a large black plastic bag and make a tie around the top of the pot, so that not a single dirt fell out to my car's floor. If the tree already has fruit on it, they wrap the whole tree with plastic film to protect the fruit. Father and wife or son work together to load the tree into my car and make sure every thing is safe. That's the highest level of service I don't get from other nurseries. “I drove by this nursery coincidentally on my way to another nursery seeking advice but on a pure whim I decided to stop here to give it a shot. GREAT decision. The nurseryman at the desk had Awesome plant knowledge. I’m in the industry myself for close to 20 years and I came across a plant recently that neither I nor my peers could identify, but the gentleman at Rancho San Diego Nursery knew it in a snap.
Afterwards I perused the nursery which has a really cool selection for a smaller business and very reasonable prices compared to even HD. I’ll definitely be back!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“First time I used their curbside pick up and the experience was horrible. Followed all the prompts via the app and waited for ten minutes before I went inside to see what was going on and all I got were excuses. The end result was once the order was finally pulled, palletized and loaded into my truck 40 minutes had elapsed. Kind of defeats the purpose of the whole process of ordering online and messaging system to save time. The second time around was 180 degrees different! I didn't even have time to lower my tailgate before someone came out to greet me and direct me to where my truck would be loaded! Forklift was ready and waiting. Awesome experience and never had a problem with the staff just the process.”

“I am in love with this quaint little store. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable about the plants. I decided to pick up a prayer plant for my mom because I think they are so neat. I'd been trying to buy a piece of it on Amazon but after seeing it on the shelf, it was calling my name. There are so many adorable items aside from plants. Believe me, I was tempted to buy way more than one plant. I can't wait to see this guy that I bought thrive.”
