“Very community-oriented independent nursery. I love that they frequently host free classes for people to come and learn. There is a good assortment of fruits and vegetables, and I was very impressed how lowly priced fruit trees and plants like grapes, blueberries, and figs were. They are one of the only local shops I can find bareroot strawberries (5 for $3). Also, the seed offerings inside were really good in terms of varieties and prices. They also had onion and garlic (including elephant!). Very friendly staff that seem to enjoy their work.”

“I stopped by this weekend for a few small plants and loved the selection. Not knowing too much about plants, I was helped by Khaalid and was directed towards plants that would be suitable for my home setup. They were kind enough to patiently explain to me proper plant care without making me feel dumb. The rest of that staff was also kind in helping me at the checkout. 10/10 will be back again!”

“Very satisfied with our experience at Moon Valley. We were looking for potted bamboo to add a barrier on our patio between our neighbor’s house and our fence line. Adam helped us select the bamboo plants and select our pots - they had a lot of options at reasonable prices. On the day of planting, George and his crew came as scheduled and took such immaculate care in planting all 5 pots, lining them up evenly along our fence line and cleaning the area once complete. George also thoroughly explained how to care for our plants. We are very happy with the outcome and highly recommend Moon Valley.”

“Came here to get a few succulents to make an arrangement for my boyfriend, just thought id get the items needed and try to do it myself at home. I ended up spekaing with Lesli who was so kind and friendly and she ended up helping me do the whole thing there at the shop! She was so knowedgeable and you can tell she enjoys what she does. “We had called beforehand looking for Atemoya/Cherimoya trees.Tere said they had trees that were bearing fruit. We drove 2 hours to buy a tree for my father. Tere stood by her word and located 2 trees that were bearing fruit; one of which had 2 fruits. We purchased the tree that had 2 Atemoya fruits. The next day, even though it was Easter, her 2 sons, Michael and Tony planted it in my father's yard. They were very knowledgeable and could answer every question we had. This is an Easter day we will surely remember. Excellent service! Thank you Tere, Tony, and Michael!”

He was always available to answer our questions, while still allowing us the freedom to explore our creativity. I would highly recommend anyone thinking about taking these classes. “A local favorite! Green Gardens has incredible indoor and outdoor options and even friendlier staff. They were able to deliver a large plant that didn’t fit in my car, which was above and beyond and so appreciated. Their outdoor section is vast and fun to walk through even if you don’t know what you are looking for.Prices are reasonable, though you can likely buy more inexpensively at somewhere like Lowe’s or Home Depot. Their staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely recommend if you are interested in supporting local!”

“Best prices in town for DG, road 2 base,And many other soils. The rules are you have to wear a hard hat and a bright vest. The soils yard is in the back of the complex and the pay trailer is on your way to the back half way through the grounds. The speed bumps are kinda high so drive slow. Lunch time is usually the best time to go to beat traffic.”

“IF I COULD GIVE THIS HOME DEPOT LOCATION 10 STARS, I WOULD GIVE 11.I was blown away this afternoon by tye cleanliness and organization of the store and its employees. I actually was looking for something and an employee asked me if I needed any help. You might think this to be a common thing, but ket me tell you it is not. Some stores you go in the employees don't even greet the paying customers let alone ask if they can assist in any way.I have been to some locations where you have a very hard time with making a return, but here you are treated with respect as customer.I have to mention this because as I was looking for the store manager to comment about my enjoyable experience today in this location, the employee helping me mentioned that the manager is off today, but he offered to direct me to the Assistant Manager named Courtney.LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT Courtney the Assistant Manager.As I was approaching Courtney he was assisting one of the cashiers who had a question about a guy trying to make a purchase with cash that Courtney observed where sketchy bills.I was blown away at how that situation was handled. It was handled so professionally by Courtney abd saved the company a whole lot of money due to what that guy was trying to purchase.Courtney gave him the option to pay with a card or either we can call the authorities, to which case the man immediately left the store.Courtney and tgat Cashier deserve a raise and promotion!!!”

“I usually go to Genesee Home Depot and they are always really fast with curbside pickup but unfortunately they didn’t have my items. I did curbside pickup here after waiting 15 minutes and no one coming I finally went into the store to wait in the long line. Then the associate tried to give me my order without an item saying it wasn’t included in the order even after I showed her my email receipt. I’d rather pay for shipping than come here again.***** Update. Several staff from HD contacted me after my review to apologize for my experience and offered us a discount. Today Cory, the manager at HD and Allie, a HD employee made a surprise visit to our house and hand delivered to our house a welcome HD bucket with a bunch of HD goodies and a toy for my kiddos! I wish I’d taken a picture to post. Hands down, Cory and his team are AMAZING, they truly go the extra mile (or 15 in my case) when things don’t go as planned with the customer experience.”

Our questions about plant material and much more was answered by Joseph and Candisse and then Johnn reassured us as we checked out. Trust me, my wife and I take notice of names and service. “I use their online checkout and in store pickup frequently. It's super easy and gives you reviews and recommendations with all the product specifications online which makes shopping a breeze. I've been there over 10 times in the past week working on renovating our new home so I am starting to know the store better which can be confusing but the employees are very helpful when asked. I wish their credit card had greater benefits but it is mostly a weak scam, other than that the store is beautiful, well kept, and efficiently operated.”
