“The staff here really care about animals, and they do their best to accommodate my pets. I have a very high energy dog who really loves to act a fool for the groomers, but they always give her back to me happy and healthy, with fresh smelling fur and very well done nails. The manager is super nice and accommodating, and the owner himself will gladly work with you if you have any issues that might make things difficult for your pets groom or bath!! They are also always willing to throw out helpful advice for home care regarding your pet if you're a new dog owner like me :)”
“It was our dog's first adoptaversary and we were motivated to make the day very special for her, so I called in advance to order the bone cake in princess pink. I was surprised to hear that you couldn't really "order" it. Basically, they get cakes in on Thursday, and can't be certain what they are going to get, but if they do get it they will hold it for you. Well, I probably called three times to see if it came in and to ensure that they would hold it for me until after work. They said they had it and they did. So that Friday, after work, it took a bit of fighting in the parking lot (small, crowded and very narrow), but I managed to get to Dexter's Deli to get the cake. It was adorable, but it said "Happy Birthday" and I wanted it to say "Happy Adoptaversary" but they don't make or decorate the cakes in house, and they all come the same way. However, they were able to put my dog's name on the cake, but somehow they didn't even have matching white icing to put the name on so we got it in an odd shade of hot pink. I know it is a dog cake and some people might wonder why I care, but I was spending $36 for a dog cake for photo ops and fun with my dog, so of course I care. I did get a chance to browse around the store while they were writing on the cake. It is quite overpriced, but they do have several cute birthday hats and some beautifully painted cookies for dogs. I decided to get her a squeaky ball and a bag of "Gotcha Day" treats. I left feeling a bit disappointed in my cake experience, but when I brought it home, my husband was super happy with how it looked, and my dog absolutely loved it. It is really much too big for one dog, so she has pieces in the freezer that will last weeks. The cake actually looked really cute in all of her pictures, and I don't know where to get a cuter cake, so I decided to still give Dexter's Deli four stars.”
“We have been taking our dog, Balthazar, there for occasional baths for years. Although it is largely do-it-yourself, you can get assistance anytime you need it with anything. In addition, they have several services that they provide, including BLUEBERRY FACIALS, which we love. In the back, they have drying stations, which are also very helpful. Although our dog is not a fan of the blow dryer, it gets the job done. It's generally all by appointment, but I suppose that you could just walk in.”
“Fantastic! We were traveling through the area and desperately needed our old man groomed and she did an amazing job. She was able to fit us in and I am so glad she did. It is one of the best cuts he has gotten and I am so happy. Definitely recommended if you need to get a groom done. She also has a store attached that looked like it had a few pet supplies as well.”
“Our groomer retired and recommended Pet Beloved. We've been there twice and they do a nice job with our senior dog who has skin bumps that can get nicked during the grooming process. I'd definitely recommend them.”

“I've started coming here a few months ago when I adopted my dog. I have never ever been disappointed! The staff are extremely friendly! I'm always greeted by smiling faces of employees. I've even brought my dog along a couple of times and the staff were so nice and friendly to my dog that was overly excited of the store. The employees gave him treats and samples of some treats they sold. Prior to this, I could never get my dog to eat any treats. I was so shocked when he ate every single one they offered. I bought the bags they gave him to try at home. I'm super grateful because I've been able to train my dog so much better with treats. I was struggling with just the clicker. They also have a very good selection of toys and accessories for dogs. If you just carefully look down each aisle, you'll be surprised at what you can find. I recently bought a "seatbelt" for my dog. Best investment ever. I've found my dog loves too look out the window. But he is so short that he can easily get thrown around in a moving car. The seat belt has helped to make sure he doesn't fall too far or can't jump to the front when he's in the back seat. There's a lot of variety of everything such as the dry and wet food. They don't have a lot of the higher end brands such as royal canin or hills science diet if you're looking for that. It doesn't hurt to check yourself ofc! But I didn't see any. I also love they have the pumpkin puree that I love to give my dog by Peruvee. If I forget to get it online, it's good to know they have the specific brand I prefer. Just note parking is not that great because it's in the same parking lot as Trader Joe's.”
“Petco is great. This one in particular is a dog and cat -focused version that's smaller than a normal Petco. It still has what I need most of the time. Employees are helpful, store-brand products are decent quality and much more affordable than name-brands.”

“We took our dog to Wag N Tails after a beach day for the self service dog bath. For $25, they give you two towels, dog shampoo, leave in conditioner, tons of options for brushes, apron, blow dryer, and usually a little treat. We were the only one using the dog bath (2 baths total) so we got to take our time. Also got him the cutest nautical collar from here! Tons of options and all were cute!”

“Love this store was greeted by Stephanie and Dina, who were nothing but amazing. All the questions I had were answered, they helped me with all my worries I had of being a new pet parent. My puppy absolutely loved them, the love they have for animals was definitely apparent. Dina went over petcos vital care premier program and the free bag program that they have to offer which saved me a lot of money. She helped me set up my app every step of the way, even showed me how to access my points for future visits, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. These two were the best customer service i have ever had, their knowledge of the product the app/ website had me feeling like I was set up for success with my new puppy. “What a great addition to National City and Southbay area. Purchased a doggy bed for a business on my route that got affected by the 1/22/24 rain floods. Their shop dog's bed was trashed when during the storm drains overflowed. Bully's Kennel offers many services besides pet supplies also. “I cannot say enough good things about Matt at Southwest Feed Grain and Hay! Their customer service is unparalleled! ...oh, wow, just saw that another review said that as well- I'm not changing my adjective because it's the right one! Last year at Halloween Matt loaned the school I work at a bunch of hay bales to help us create some atmosphere for our school's Fall Festival. They were a huge hit and we got lots of compliments! They just changed the feel of the whole event, and made for a great place for parents to take photos of their little ones for the memory books! This year when I called Matt, I explained that we no longer had access to a truck to retrieve the bales (that he again graciously offered us) and he said he would drop them off at our school for us a few days ahead of time, WOW! I am just so thankful! Check out the rest of the great reviews and you'll see that this is a business that really knows how to create relationships within the community! “I've been coming here for years and they are great! They have the absolute best quality and prices of macaw food(or whatever bird you have). I get the big bag of Ultimate Parrot Mix. They have a huge selection of food, toys, perches and cages. Always easy parking. Friendly staff! If you book bought your bird here...they clip talons(and feathers I think) for free. But I too f'n honest like and I pay $15 for talon clippings. They don't do beeks. But what's really nice is they only charge $12/night for boarding. My B&G Yoda loves to chill there when I have to work out of town or take a vacation. Really nice selection of birds too...if you're looking. But please be educated and do your research before you decide to be a bird owner. It really helps to be loving, intelligent, loyal and responsible.”
