“The hospitality, care, and attention to detail was amazing at Mimo pets. I had requested for Cindy as the groomer, and the receptionist, Nicky, was so kind to coordinate our appointment over the phone the next day. The minute we took our little shih tzu Momo inside, Nicky immediately recognized us and was very thoroughly with understanding our request for keeping Momo’s hair long while giving her a peekaboo shave. :)
Momo was really nervous at first but the team really took care of her during her stay. Cindy did an amazing job with Momo’s haircut, and as pet parents— we loved Nicky’s positivity and attentiveness. We definitely will be coming back. Thank you so much!”

“This was my first time washing the first dog I've ever owned and this experience was amazing. I have a fairly large 1-year-old Rottweiler named Winston and the staff was extremely helpful and patient explained everything to me The price was amazing I did the blueberry facial self wash and used the blow dryer area they had de-shedding tools available The staff was knowledgeable if I had any question and they offer grooming services as well in case I wanted to get him a haircut it's just the perfect place. The jams were awesome they were listening to the now that's what I call music CDs and I knew every lyric so I was singing to my dog while I was washing him hands down best experience I could have ever had!! Also you're welcome to whoever got to enjoy my free karaoke show”

“I was referred by another pet parent and this place did not disappoint! My pet and I were treated warmly. The groomer Cesar came out to meet his 1st time puppy client. He has a great personality and interacted with my pup right away. After asking me what I wanted for my fur baby he assured me it would go great. I felt easy leaving my baby for the first time. Boy...was I impressed when he walked her out. I would recommend this place for sure. ONLY 1 DOWNSIDE...THE PARKING. It's on one way street so be ready to double park lights flashing for quick drop off and pick up. Thanks again Cesar and staff!!”

“I love this place. I get my chicken feed here. I also bought 3 chicks 4 years ago. They have hay bales, horse tack, dog food, kennels, coops etc. The staff is very nice and helpful also. Our favorite feed store in our little neck of the woods. 🥰”

“My 16-month-old golden retriever absolutely loves going to Camp Run-A-Mutt PL! I appreciate being able to check in on him through the Mutt Cam, and every staff member I’ve met has been warm, kind, and they clearly love dogs. The new owner is fantastic—such a great addition! “Been going here for all of my dogs’ needs for the past 5 years, and I absolutely love seeing good people with a good business continue to grow. I can’t believe I somehow forgot to leave a review in the past.

A couple things that really stand out:

* When my Husky was dealing with a terminal brain tumor, they recommended a CBD supplement that really seemed to help him. It also helped with his anxiety around fireworks, which was a huge bonus.
* They always have a great selection of treats, so there’s never a shortage of things to spoil the dog with.
* Their prices are competitive with online stores, and they have a bunch of buy so many get one free deals that make it even better.
*They have sent us texts when an item is out of stock and is back in stock.
* They also offer bathing area for dogs, which is incredibly convenient. Our Cavalier absolutely hates going there because he thinks he’s getting a bath every time, but we personally love having that option—even if Doug (our dog) is kind of a knob about it. 😂
*I don’t know the couples name that own it but they have always greeted us with kindness anytime we have been in there.

“We were walking around North Park and originally walked past this store, thinking it was only for dogs. On our way back, we needed up stopping by and it was a great choice. The owners were so friendly and helped guide us towards great toys for our cats. Tonight our cats have been playing with the toys (the feather wand specifically), and I’ve never seen my already crazy cats be SO ACTIVE. This will 100% be my go to spot for cat toys and treats. Not only were the toys affordable compared to a big box store, the workers were so loving and caring.”

“I LOVED my experience here. The price was very very affordable and the groomer made my pup look like a new dog. I have a cavalier King Charles so there is a lot of specific details that goes into his grooming. The groomer listened to everything I wanted and exceeded my expectations. My little guy got so many compliments.”

“The staff here are very knowledgable and helpful. I ride my bike here frequently to purchase dog food, and bird food. They always are very kind, especially Austin, Stephen (or Steven) and Erica. I highly recommend Kahoots, as they are always quick to help you with whatever you need! Prices are very affordable, unlike Petco or Petsmart, which makes it better on your budget.”

“We love Dirty Dogs Hillcrest! Everyone is always so friendly, and happy to help if we have any questions. Our babies get groomed by Brittany, and she always does a beautiful job, and she is very patient and gentle! She’s the only one who can get bows on Tiger Lily’s ear, and get them to stay. Our girls always go in happy (Bella gets nervous sometimes because of the hairdryer noise), and they are always bright eyed, with wagging tails when we come to get them! And they love their new accessories from time to time. We’ve gotten some really fun leashes and good harnesses there. I definitely recommend Dirty Dogs Hillcrest for all your fur babies needs! And Brittany is our favorite groomer!”

“I've been going to this store since 2012 for my lovebirds. The store has an excellent toy/shredder section. The food/treat selection is excellent. Cages are a decent price. The prices overall are good and comparable to online sites for the most part. I've boarded my birds only a couple of times, but it was a good experience, and my birds didn't seem to disturbed. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I have not purchased a bird here. My only gripe is the heavy metal sometimes played.”

“Love taking my dog here for her baths. I use the self serve bath tubs and wash her myself and it’s worth it. The tubs are higher, so it takes the stress off your back and there is shampoo available if you need it. All other supplies are provided as well such and towels and you can even blow dry your dog if you want. My dog hates the dryer so we skip that part. Employees are very friendly, they know us and greet my dog in a way a dog lover should and every 10th wash is free! I highly recommend using this place for self wash or drop your dog off for grooming.”

If your cat is over 10 years old, please ask your vet if you should switch to their food so you can prolongs your kitties life and make it as comfortable as possible.”

“We have been shopping here for about one year now and they’re the only store in town that carries the dog food that our little wiener dog will eat. In all of the craziness of life we completely ran out and I called Decker’s at 6:08 PM. They answered the phone and told me they were closed and I begged them to stay open because I just lived five minutes away and I would come and pick up the food immediately and they pulled the food and waited for us to arrive. You can’t get that kind of service anywhere anymore. Thank God for this kind of Customer Service. We will be Decker’s customers forever.”

“my cocker spaniel has been groomed in so many places because he gets a little difficult to be honest, also he has very sensitive skin so he cant be shaved or he gets too irritated/rash and scabs….. so i thought id try this place, if they do cats maybe they will handle him better AND YEEEESSSSS, they even say he is a GOOD BOY, they know what they’re doing, and how to do it, they send pictures of details, close ups to inner ear or anything found that you should know, they are the best best groomers and bailey actually likes them?”

“I love this place and my dog does too. I used to make my dog food at home but this business and their expertise has made me have one less thing to do every week or so and it's so nutritious for my dog and it makes me feel proactive for my dogs over all health and wellness. The staff here are so nice, kind, caring and knowledgeable and I appreciate them so much for the love and intention they pour into their dog food. On 10/23 I was also there around 4:30 and this woman walked in and immediately insulted the smell of the place (you're in a raw dog food shop) by saying 'it smells bad in here' and proceeded to stand there and look around while I was being checked out and also going over the reward system and the points I accumulated. We both looked at her kind of in shock, and I was helped out with the rest of my order. She then proceeds to reach over to right in front of me to take dog treats (that are made with love in house btw) and leave. There was no questions about what the place is about or inquiries about what the purpose of the shop was. Just a really rude comments and then proceeds to take free stuff and leave. I (being a human with eyes), reacts and says 'that was so incredibly rude', not weird, RUDE. BECAUSE IT WAS. as a customer and an objective person, I have a right to point out and speak about how incredibly rude and entitled that was. and we both were shocked that someone would walk into an establishment, complain about how it smells and then take free stuff and leave. The review down below giving this place a one star is not surprising given the interaction I witnessed but I just want to say is not at all my experience going here. These people are so caring and thoughtful and passionate. If raw dog food isn't your thing, that's fine but don't insult a passionate company and then complain like they did something to you. You came in with an attitude and then took it to the internet. Honestly crazy.

Anyway, if you want your dog to love eating and be lean and healthy and have energy and support two passionate people who care about canine health and wellness, I 1000% recommend these wonderful people. I will never regret making the investment for my dogs health. I have an 11 year old chihuahua and she still seems like she's 5 because of her diet and I will forever praise and be grateful for these wonderful human beings”

“I been to just about every tropical fish store in the area more than a few times. I can say hands down these guys are my favorite by a lot. They have a massive selection of fish with tons you just won’t find just about anywhere else. Their tanks are clean and well kept. From my understanding unlike some fish stores each group of tanks is a closed unit and not hooked up to a massive store wide filtration which limits disease transmission. They are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Their price points are competitive. Most of all they are very forthcoming and honest. Once they informed me that they had recently finished treatment for Ich in a tank and another time they said they just got the fish in a day ago and suggested coming back in a few days. They always have been straightforward about compatibility issues. They will often ask questions about your set up to ensure things are a good fit. I got more fish through these guys than the others combined and have never had a single issue, whereas ive had a number of issues arise from other stores.”

“Very friendly there, we met one of the owners they have put 19 years of expertise into this & food science as well as being a chef including pet owner of dogs great to hear it! My frenchie found this place practically booked it out of nowhere while exploring downtown and that’s how we got there, he went around like he was doing the shopping lol. Unfortunately I got a call and had to dash I got a frozen yogurt (blueberry) because of the hot weather I’ve never seen him so absolutely in love with something before lol he finished it In one sitting! looking forward to visit again probably for more of those to beat the heat while we are out!
