βLeaving this review specifically for Anthony in sales. He absolutely goes above and beyond every time I've gotten his help in the store, even when I'm only buying +/-$100 of material. Thank you Anthony!β

βI really appreciate the service discount builders provides when I come through the front door I go there most of the time due to them having everything I need for work and Myra Cameo a customer service rep is always helpful and always supportive when helping out customers such as myself and always proud to see me there Shout out to myra!β
βA very friendly guy with a great beard took me around personally to find all my items (and discuss them) despite my family and I arriving 10 minutes from closing time. Amazing service. I have deleted all other hardware stores from my mind.β
βWatch Repair - Battery Replacement - Cliffs Variety thanks!!Trying to find a watch repair shop in the city is hard. I needed my fossil watchβs battery replaced and it needed a special tool to crack her open without scratching the watch. I go to cliffs and the nicest guy takes my watch and 5 minutes later the battery is replaced and sheβs ticking! If you need a new watch battery go to cliffs! It was $5! Talk about service affordability. Thank you cliffs associate!β

βI've come to this store multiple times and I always had a great experience. It's even better if you need help finding the right tools or materials for a project because you'll always find someone ready to help.β
βGreat place to pick up Benjamin Moore paints. I order online and pick it up to avoid wait times (which arenβt that long but I always end up leaving with things I didnβt intend on buying ?). Great customer service and they do occasional sales! Grateful this is my neighborhood hardware store.β
βExceptional Service from Sean at Crownlock!*
I recently met Sean, Crownlock's owner, for dreadlock maintenance and retwisting. He surpassed my expectations!
Attention to Detail: Sean carefully examines your hair before offering expert advice.
Crochet Expertise: Highly skilled with crochet.
Quality Service: Exceptional results guaranteed.
Sean is the best in his field! His dedication is second to non.β
βI was missing a part for one of my roller blade wheels, and the employees here were very friendly and helped me find a washer that would do the job in a pinch. Super nice neighborhood small businessβwill definitely visit again. :-)β
βVery helpful and very nice people that knows tools. Can go wrong with anything in the store. Also they have one part of the store that sell anime action figures.β
βReally canβt express enough gratitude to the excellent work this team does! Dakota went above and beyond as he received my online request and processed my order so swiftly!! Hats off to you! Appreciate the outstanding customer service!β
βIf you have no other reason to go- this *feels* like a hardware store. I know when I say this I am speaking to a very specific subset of people. However, when I was a kid, my dad would take me with him to the hardware store, and I would get a lollypop while he and whomever from behind the counter would wander around looking for an eyebolt or the right shade of caulk. Giulio- who I assume is the owner, is easily 10 years older than my mom, who lives in the assisted living up the street. My mom can't be bothered to go to the chair yoga we're paying for, but Giulio went to work. He's not totally mobile, but he knows his s#!t. Whenever I come in, he or whoever else is behind the counter is happy to chat through my issue and suggest something. It's not a Home Depot- so they may not have what you're looking for every time- but they have a lot of things, and it makes me happy to know my money is staying local. Also, side story: One day during the summer, it's like 90, and I am behind a contractor who's getting a bunch of stuff - lumber, rocks...I don't know- but he's paying for it, and he grabs some water bottles for him and his crew and puts them on the counter. Giulio totals him up and says a number; the guy says, "Oh, don't forget these waters". Giulio says, "The town where I come from in Italy has the best water in the world, and it flows right off the mountain. If my father knew I was charging people for water, he'd come back from the dead and strike me down. Those are free." C'mon. How can you not go here first?β
βNeeded some applewood pellets for my smoker. I called, they told me they stored the pellets away for the season but happy to check to see if they had the applewood. They did and brought up a bag from storage and had it at the counter for me when I came to pick it up. Needed it because I'm making homemade baconβ
βGreat resource for hardware quick and with actual service, well worth the slight premium (if any) over the Big Box monstrosities if you need things quickly and done right.
Recently they cut a key for a friend who has a late model Chevy with the extractable keys. Stealerships charge hundreds to program these and cut the key. eBay has sellers with aftermarket FOBS for $35/pair. Fairly easy to program yourself, and here at this ACE they have the correct machine to cut the key correctly. $25 per customer supplied blank and key works perfectly!
Whenever I visit small businesses like this that are managed, stocked and trained well, I want to vomit at how much more stress and time it takes to buy the same items at hell holes like Home Despot or Lowes.β
βI don't live near this hardware store. It's a bit of a grind to drive to here. And there are other hardware stores closer to me.
But no matter what I need, I aways take the time and make the effort to patronize this place.
Brian is the man who has impressed me with his down home demeanor and helpful approach to treating customers. But, everyone I've met at this store are helpful and knowledgeable.
And if you have some time on your hands even the customers can be fun to engage with. I've had some customers ask me if I worked there!
Matt says if you need some help with solving a issue with a do it yourself project, take the time to check out this store. It's a cultural experience that will make your day betterβ
βThey did a good job but it isn't the friendliest of shops. I think this shop is able to make almost any key and for that it makes it worth the trip. When I called around they were about the same price as any other locksmith. The best think about this business is that they have an actual store that you can go to. I would recommend it.β
βOne of the nicest places in the city! They moved ailes in a different direction, and there are a lot more supplies and items to buy. It is also a great store to get greeting cards and toys and cleaners. Great for families!β
βDesigned mostly for contractors. Staff definitely knows their stuff, and can help homeowners as much, as they can! They are more stocked now that they were before. If your expecting homedepo type location this is not for you! Definitely a good place for contractors!β
βGreat place to make keys etc in the neighborhood. Very helpful and friendly owner always there to lend a hand. Reasonable priced items, convenient and full of helpful items without going to Loews. I will continue to shop hereβ
βI went in with a request for a strange screw for my car door, and they spent a lot of time with me individually... only to realize I didn't need it at all. All this for a $.47 piece of hardware. They really went above and beyond.β
βNo supplier is nicer to me. I've been doing this for a long time. On top of that they are very knowledgeable, have most things on stock or they will get it for you at competitive or lower price.β
βThere's a SOLID reason why this place has 5 stars, & I'm happy to add one more! Today, Richard at the front was incredibly attentive and helpful. He went way above and beyond! After going to 3 other stores to try and find what I needed, each of which had terrible customer service where the employees didn't give a $hit, I was stoked to find that this place had someone who actually cared. In fact, it took more than a couple tries to find exactly what I needed, & Richard was more than willing to help. To the owners: thanks for being here, having such a huge inventory, & for hiring people who treat your customers with respect! I will definitely be back!! To my fellow Yelp'ers: THIS should be your first stop. Forget big box names & go here. You'll not only be supporting a local business, you'll save yourself some stress!!! *They have a $15 minimum - so keep that in mind.β

βThe old lady working here was extremely helpful in assisting me with my shopping and I totally didnβt expect her to go out of her way to make sure I got what I really wanted to get. Proof that some family-owned businesses are better!β
βBest customer service, helped me find what I needed to avoid having to buy a whole new replacement. Couldnβt recommend more. Plus layout is very nice and clean. Thank you!!!β
βGreat store, spacious and clean. But their bathrooms are SO dirty. The sinks and even the door to the menβs room are so grimy I didnβt want to touch anything. Itβs always like this.β
βDuke is a fantastic store. I even buy stuff I don't need. Staff are very are kind and helpful , attentive . Pj and the rest are the best. Easy to shop .knowledgeable, Excellent Service which makes it easier to shop with no stress and difficulty. ????β
βI may be prejudicial here as I have worked for the company for the last 23 years, but I would not have applied if I was not impressed with the quality of customer service and tools that they provided. It is a candy store for any tradesperson or DIYerβ
βSmall hardware store but very complete. With less variety of products due to the size of the store, but you can find everything.
The staff was extremely friendly, they helped me find what I needed and gave me good product recommendations.β
βI live in the neighborhood and love this store! Recently, I had an issue with my scooter. It was missing a vital part for carrying it. Gabe willingly helped me with the issue and came up with a quick and easy solution: a carabiner. Thank you so much, Gabe!β
βThe owner, Albert, helped me find everything I needed. He was very knowledgeable. Everything was reasonably priced, and they had a great selection of goods. I will definitely be coming back.β
βAbout the same prices as a big box, but with unparalleled customer service. Large plumbing and electrical department, but also expansive paint and nuts/bolts. Perfectly cut keys are $3! A true community acet!β
