As an auto enthusiast who wrenches on his own vehicles and details them himself, I’ve always been able to tell when body work has been done. That was until the last two times I’ve been to Ma’s. The most impressive work was on the back end of an old Mazda5 with color shifting paint. There were no differences in color or orange peel with the original paint.

What’s been even more amazing is the way they stick behind their work. They did another flawless looking repair to the rear hatch of an SUV, but there was some creaking noticed before the repair. It sounded better after the repair but got worse months later. They spent a significant amount of time trying to track down the noise to stand behind their work. I can finally stop my search for autobody repair shops!”

“Decent car repair shop. Car repair shops are notoriously and uniformly (IMHO) awful experiences. This one, Mr. Lou is responsible, careful in communication. And the techs are decent guys too.

Super tiny waiting room, best to go 400m to main street, find a cafe. WC way in the back, behind mountains of tools, fitting, bolts, nuts, car parts and busted cars. Find a cafe to sit and wait.

Price for service is ok as well (150$ for general fluid check, brakes, usual routine oversight). Beyond that, any work needs done, wow, expect to pay a ton. Fixing cars today is awful, simply awful work. Legacy OEMs (Toyota, Ford etc) have ruined vehicles, maliciously, intentionally. Bad engineering. Windshield wipers: 80$. Light bulb replace: 120$ (not kidding, it really is, mostly labor time). We have to suffer until we all go EVs and kiss OEM and ICE vehicles goodbye.”
