“I would highly recommend Tony's Auto Repair in Burlingame. I brought my car there for the first time for an oil change, new tires, wheel alignment & brake pads. The job was completed professionally and within the time they said it would take. Rachelle the receptionist was very friendly & helpful with any questions I had and gave thorough details of what the job would cost upfront. Prices are reasonable and they even had a couple coupons I was able to use towards my oil change and wheel alignment!

He consistently goes above and beyond, and I always feel completely confident bringing my car to him. Perfect example: I once went in for a simple oil change, and he noticed someone had stolen my registration sticker. Another time, we bought my aunt’s car that had been sitting for a while and the air conditioning didn’t work — Ken found a squirrel nest clogging the system! When my car has made strange noises, he always checks it out, reassures me when it’s nothing, and never charges me unnecessarily. He gently explains anything I don’t understand, never talks down to me, and always makes sure I leave feeling informed and taken care of.

“I finally found the best Mini service shop in the Bay Area. Dick is a true Mini specialist who really knows the quirks and symptoms specific to these cars. He ran a proper diagnosis first and pointed out the likely problem areas up front, before doing any work. After I dropped off my car, he called me and walked me through exactly what was wrong, clearly separating what needed to be taken care of now from what could safely wait. He explained only the necessary repairs, and did it patiently and honestly. The pricing was very reasonable too, especially for a specialist of his caliber. On top of all that, he is just a great guy to talk to, even beyond cars. Highly recommend Holland Service to any Mini owner. 5 stars.”

“Decent car repair shop. Car repair shops are notoriously and uniformly (IMHO) awful experiences. This one, Mr. Lou is responsible, careful in communication. And the techs are decent guys too.
Super tiny waiting room, best to go 400m to main street, find a cafe. WC way in the back, behind mountains of tools, fitting, bolts, nuts, car parts and busted cars. Find a cafe to sit and wait.
Price for service is ok as well (150$ for general fluid check, brakes, usual routine oversight). Beyond that, any work needs done, wow, expect to pay a ton. Fixing cars today is awful, simply awful work. Legacy OEMs (Toyota, Ford etc) have ruined vehicles, maliciously, intentionally. Bad engineering. Windshield wipers: 80$. Light bulb replace: 120$ (not kidding, it really is, mostly labor time). We have to suffer until we all go EVs and kiss OEM and ICE vehicles goodbye.”

He was very honest about why could potentially be wrong and I didn’t feel like he was just trying to sell me a service I didn’t need. I didn’t end up needing to have any work done on my car, but if I do I’ll definitely come back here to have it done!”

“I’ve owned cars for a long time and had to inevitably deal with body work many times. As an auto enthusiast who wrenches on his own vehicles and details them himself, I’ve always been able to tell when body work has been done. That was until the last two times I’ve been to Ma’s. The most impressive work was on the back end of an old Mazda5 with color shifting paint. There were no differences in color or orange peel with the original paint.
What’s been even more amazing is the way they stick behind their work. They did another flawless looking repair to the rear hatch of an SUV, but there was some creaking noticed before the repair. It sounded better after the repair but got worse months later. They spent a significant amount of time trying to track down the noise to stand behind their work. I can finally stop my search for autobody repair shops!”
