Camino Animal Hospital
4087 Carson Rd, CaminoGreat place! They are very nice and thorough. Pricing is very fair. My dog had to have an oral tumor removed, and the Dr. was awesome. She spent a few hours making sure every bit was gone so it wouldn't come back, and it didn't. We were very happy with and thankful for her work, and the price was very reasonable.

Chateau Davell Winery
3020 Vista Tierra Dr, CaminoMy wife and I have now found our new favorite winery, Chateau Davell. What struck us when we first went in was the incredible artwork painted by the owner, Erik, that gave it a warm ambiance. Then seeing the same paintings on the labels, with each telling a story about one of his family members enhanced the experience. Then as the icing to the cake, the wines were really good, making us subscribe to their wine club. It just got better as they have a food menu to die for. We just needed a small appetizer so we got the figs with a burrata cheese (?) topped with hot honey and balsamic vinegar. It was delightful.

The Forester
4110 Carson Rd, CaminoThis restaurant was amazing. The food here was better than Solvang. We started with an excellent homemade chicken rice soup, followed by an awesome sausage sampler with perfect mustard. My son had the wiener schnitzel which he said was superb. I had the rouladen which was very good. The carrots and potato pancake that accompanied it were perfect. Added to this was an outstanding Oktoberfest craft beer (which is impossible to find at this time of year) that completed our meal. Helen, our server was on point with her recommendations. Overall a marvelous dining experience.

Hidden Star Camino - Apple Hill #23
2740 Cable Rd, CaminoHidden Star Taproom and Bakery was a great stop in the Apple Hill area. We tried several ciders, and the flavors were very true to their names. The sweeter options were definitely sweet, but still well done—Peach Perfect had clear peach and mango flavors, Cherry Seinfeld was flavorful, and Blacklist with Camino Wild Blackberry was enjoyable. I personally prefer semi-sweet to dry cider, and Fool’s Gold was the one that really hit the spot for me. The more sweet flavors were just intriguing among the 20+ flavors to try. I wish we had tried more. We also tried the apple blueberry donut, which was soft and delicious.
There was plenty of seating in a beautiful area, and they have a playground area for kids that looked like a lot of fun, though we did not use it ourselves. Overall, it was a really pleasant stop with good cider, good treats, and a nice setting. We would definitely come back.
