325 Carlsbad Village Dr B-1, Carlsbad“What a wonderful bookshop and the store owner was a pleasure to converse with. You can hear his passion for books in his voice.Anyway, we had planned a weekend trip to Carlsbad and searched for used bookstores in the area and Farenheit came up. So glad we stopped in and were able to walk out with a few books. Many vintage finds for all you collectors. Look closely and carefully as there are so many nooks and crannies in the shop where hidden gems can be found. You can find art books to cookbooks to history books. Please note that the shop's lease for this location is up soon. If you and anyone know of a space in Carlsbad Village, please contact the store owner Philip. He and this community deserve to have a bookstore. We are never too old or too young to learn. Grab a book and enjoy a good read! Lookout for the bargain books! And I loved the music played during our shopping experience, French jazz, which set the mood for our lunch in a local French cafe.Support this small business and stimulate the local economy and our brains!”

1150 S Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas“Super close to home, always come here after a trip to the meditation gardens, their $2 incense(15 sticks in the box + it is hand made in India!) is totally worth it. Get the frankincense + sandalwood scents. I use them when I meditate/ rituals. They make great sandalwood prayer beads as well. Although I got them for like 40 bucks since the price of sandalwood has increased over time. AND they have free vintage SRF magazines from the 70s- early 2000s in a basket by the exit!”

603 S Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas“Incredibly helpful owner who was knowledgeable and informed with local literary information and events. Was aware of what was on the shelves, even if some things ended up behind others, due to the nature of the shelving being used.Clean, about as well laid out as can be, engaged, and outgoing. Would definitely recommend coming in and would happily return if we're even remotely nearby.”
“Excellent shopping experience again. Clerk determined via the inventory management system that some titles by Ehrenreich weren't available but that's okay. Found three books I had on my list...”

“Nice little gem on Coast Highway. Lots of books. Very clean and organized. Friendly staff. Fun to look and shop here. Nice to see kids getting gently used books!”
“I had used books and read on their Friends of Encinitas Library website donations were welcome! The wonderful ladies took the time to talk with me and let me know what items they could resell. I was so elated to hear and see the community, kids and adults, still reading old paperbacks. The selection of books are bountiful and the cost is very reasonable. Please support your community. Every penny goes back to the city!”
“Located in a peaceful setting. The professors here are amazing, great little library and support with classes. I began my yoga training here even! If students want to move on to UC schools it it takes some work, but I know many who went to Mira Costa then UCLA and Berkeley. As an adult returning to learn a language, I felt welcomed by all. Campus is safe from my experience, even night classes.”
“Barnes and nobles has always been a favorite place of mine. It's always so clean and welcoming. I can find all the books super easily. And the staff is friendly and ready to help with anything you need.”

The goggles came slightly scratched, but since they didn't have any more in stock, I was given the option of an additional discount to my charge, or another pair of goggles that they did have in stock which would have been shipped out next day.”

1520 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas“Early this morning, I started a job where it requires very tough labor doing demolition on a patio deck. I was dispatched to go to another job where I would need to be dressed, appropriate for an interior design store, and help out moving and delivering items.. since it was short notice, I was drenched in sweat, jeans, dirty, and in construction steel toe boots. I had a couple of options to go to Walmart or target to find a new set of clothes but instead I stop by the local Goodwill store and within five minutes I was able to find a shirt some shorts and shoes off for under $35. I let the staff know my situation, and her name was Liz and Liz asked if I had a place to change. I told her I did not, and she let me use the restroom to change into my new outfit. She welcomed me with smiles and helped my day go by 10 times smooth then it would have. I applaud her customer service and hope everyone gets to experience her attitude and personality... Liz even took a picture of me so that I can share this with you guys. I went in with a problem and left with a new outfit and a solution to the first curveball of my day, thank you Liz, for being an awesome associate and thank you goodwill for being so close and so available”
