“Super close to home, always come here after a trip to the meditation gardens, their $2 incense(15 sticks in the box + it is hand made in India!) is totally worth it. Get the frankincense + sandalwood scents. I use them when I meditate/ rituals. They make great sandalwood prayer beads as well. Although I got them for like 40 bucks since the price of sandalwood has increased over time. AND they have free vintage SRF magazines from the 70s- early 2000s in a basket by the exit!”

“Ocean views at the Encinitas library make this one of the coolest libraries in San Diego! Friends of the Encinitas library run the bookstore and organized and event for local authors inviting the community with to read what their author next door has been up to! Check out the Karma Cats written by Kathleen Kastner. One of the best children's books I've seen!”

“I haven’t been physically yet, but I have ordered a signed book and have corresponded with Greg who was so amazing in helping with an inscription request! He replied to the email the morning I had sent it, and I really appreciated the quick response. My husband and I are in NV so Artifact will be one of the first stops we make on our next trip to Cali! We can’t wait to visit in person!”

“As the author of the Grant Colson Thriller Series and SERA Archives Thriller Series, I always enjoy visiting bookstores while traveling, and Barnes & Noble is a standout location.

The outdoor architecture is very attractive and inviting, and the interior carries that same thoughtful design. Inside, the store is well laid out with a classic bookstore feel, making it easy to browse and spend time exploring.

One feature I really liked is the use of horseshoe-style shelf arrangements, which create smaller, cozy “mini library” sections throughout the store. It breaks up the space nicely and makes browsing more engaging.

There’s also a large children’s section in the back, which is well done and adds a fun, family-friendly element to the store.

The staff has always been friendly and helpful, which rounds out the experience.

Overall it’s a beautifully designed Barnes & Noble with a great layout and a welcoming atmosphere.”

“Visited this store for the first time and had a great experience. The young woman and young man working late in the evening were very courteous and helpful. I’ll definitely be back!”
