“I had some car trouble while passing through Carmel on my way to Big Sur. It really could've been a huge problem, derailing weeks of planned travel, but Javier Auto Service got me in even though they were slammed, and went out of the way to fix the problem. Really nice guys who seem to care about their customers, and excellent mechanics from what I can tell (Jose diagnosed the issue within about ten minutes!)”

“A great place to fill up on gas or diesel! They have full-service gas pumps, and propane fills are available at a decent rate. The mechanics were able to help replace a tire in less than a day. My go-to gas station in Carmel Valley”

“More than a smog station. Full-service mechanics. The good folks here were courteous, quick, and the work was reasonably priced. My only negative comment was there were a few other things I would likely have been pleased, and paid for, to be repaired -- but no one mentioned. Figured they were busy, and was simply grateful to get in and out as quick as I did!”

“Great service, efficient, and at a reasonable price.
After going to 3 other tire service centers because of a nail in my tire, and being met with hostility, overpriced scams, and a general unwillingness to help, the owner here was super nice, got it done in like 10 minutes, and charged a reasonable amount. Uncommonly humane for the area of business I guess, and much appreciated.”

“One does not simply explain the greatness of this epic fountain of fossil fuel. This is the Chuck Norris of gas stations. It's so esoteric and heavenly that I immediately removed my shoes because I knew I was on holy ground. I also removed my shirt and drizzled some gasoline on my treasure trail because I felt completely accepted by every customer nonchalantly filling their vehicles to the brim with liquid dinosaur bones. When the fumes of la goddess de gasolina invaded the permeable membrane and cilia of my nostrils, my existential mental trip began its decent into madness. I tore open the passenger side door of my gold Honda Civic, grabbed the first sharpie maker I could find, and began boldly enscribing the words "NEVER FORGET DECEMBER 27 2007," on the side of the gasoline pump kiosk. It was a Saturday in '07 when a gas pump broke and bled it's clear poisons all over my ex girlfriend. Next, I remember an elderly woman standing over top of me as I lay prostrate on the cold gray concrete speckled with black flattened spots of masticated chewing gum. She was fanning my forehead with her veiny translucent hand and in the other hand, offering me her half-drank Vitamin Water. Anyway, yeah this place is great. Loved the customer service.”
