“We stopped in for a sandwich after hiking all morning. Delightful place- old school list where you check off everything you want and take a number and wait for them to make your meal. I was blown away but the size of the sandwich and they got everything perfect! My wife and I split the sandwich that we could barely finish. On our way out we noticed a lady making burritos with a long line of local landscapers- always a clue on where to get the good stuff.”
“I love this store produce is fresh, Bakery delicious, store is clean most of all the staff are very friendly, helpful and kind. I go in there atleast 3 times a week and check out is fast & the clerks and bag folks are super helpful too . The staff all seem to enjoy working there and they friendly & fun with each . Great Team workoh and they have a Petes Coffee Stand!”

“I often order food for delivery to my home about half a mile from this Crossroads location. Today I ordered from the Pacific Grove Safeway to deliver to my business in PG. Long story short, couldn’t happen; a mix up with the delivery address and drivers who balked at the location after filling the order in Carmel…
I get a call from the Carmel Safeway asking if I would like the MANAGER to deliver my order to my shop in Pacific Grove. Yes!!!!

“Our go to deli in Carmel. If no street parking ( probably the case) there is ground floor covered parking for about 8 or so cars to use when shopping just at the Nielsen Market.
Back to the deli … top shelf sandwiches and the best soup hands down ! The chicken based broth is exceptional. Good enough we drive over from Pacific Grove a couple times a week for the Chicken Orzo soup.
Small produce area, but a decent dry goods collection considering the small size of the market.
The market is on a corner across the street from Thinker Toys, so we often order a few sandwiches and people / car watch from a small covered front eating area.
Highly recommend.”

“Today, I walked over to the floral department at Carmel Safeway and was cheerfully greeted by Aurora and asked if I needed help with anything. I have never been acknowledged before while floral shopping, so I felt extremely welcomed. Aurora helped me pick out a couple of small plants and a balloon for a friend's birthday. I can be pretty indecisive, but she helped so much by asking me the right questions and helping me pick the healthiest looking flowers. Her enthusiasm for helping me find the right gift was extremely appreciated. She went above and beyond with her customer service, and I will not need to think twice before coming back next time I need any plants or flowers, and I will be recommending this Safeway's floral department to everyone I know! “Normally when I go camping I go with a lot of people, but this is the first time I'm going with just one other person. Need to do some significant planning and decided to come here as the grocery store before our campsite. Holy moly, this place was well stocked. Super clean. I think the floors were wood laminate, everything was neat and tidy and clean, really impressive. The most well put together Lucky's I've ever been to. What else can I say? You're not going to go wrong if you stop by here.”
