“Today I had a gym tour with Erin and she was a great tour guide. Facilities were nice and the community looked great. She answered all my questions about machines, anytime fitness benefits, etc. The gym was clean and hopefully with people like Erin, will start a the begin of an awesome journey.”

“Going to Monterey Core Fitness is honestly the best part of my day. I love this gym, the trainers, and the amazing women that come to class. It's the first time I've felt truly comfortable and fully supported in my strength training journey. I started working out with them after a multi-year hiatus due to the pandemic, a tailbone fracture, and most recently, having a baby! Even though I used to be an avid Barry's Bootcamper, I felt so intimidated because I had trouble lifting any form of weight. Allie, Sahana, and Brynn met me where I was at. After a few months of working with them, I am stronger than I was in my 20s. It's incredible to see and feel your results. I love that the classes focus on different muscle groups so you can go every day if you wanted to. They also keep their classes fresh and interesting so you never feel like you're doing the same workout and they also keep adding new classes like performance twist or barre. The gym is always clean, community-oriented, and there's space for everyone. I love that the classes are small and that you get lots of individualized attention. I also highly recommend personal training sessions, especially if you're like me, and haven't worked out in a while or are looking to level up. Brynn is amazing at establishing a good foundation/routine and I saw a huge improvement in my body (and confidence!) when I worked with her.”
“The gym is very nice and good use for what I need. For someone who’s never been able to put on weight this gym is very functional and straightforward. I love it.”
“First City's is a great gym. It's Fit for Life program is incredible. Perfect for those who are looking try out a high intensity work out for the first time, getting back in to after a break (like me), and/or for the older (senior) crowd (like me). Fred is an incredible instructor who is very attentive of your physical state and has a lot of suggestions on modifications if you need it. The other instructors are always friendly and willing to jump in with sage advice. Frank, the owner, is friendly and very approachable and open to new ideas and suggestions. A great bang for your buck kind of place.”
“I love going to this gym. I actually call it my gym because I've been going to this gym forever now. New exercise equipment, clean and friendly staff. And last but not least, they have a sauna!”

“Great spread of play structures. Tables, bathrooms, a fenced dog run, basketball court, some sort of wallball,Restrooms: Two unisex restroomsDog-friendliness: Fenced dog area. Used to be better, but it still functions.Picnic area: Multiple tables in multiple locations”
“Whoever decided to put the cardio room down the stairs was a sadist. I say that with love. I found the gym to have everything I wanted, and some things I never knew I needed to add to my routine. The people are nice, both at the desk and other gym goers, and I've never felt more comfortable the first time at a new gym than I did here.”

“I first came to Montage Wellness Center for physical therapy for bad knees. The warm water pool helped a lot as well as the trainers. I joined the gym during the holiday special. For someone on disability this is very pricey to pay $80 a month. I will try to keep going but I might need to cancel the membership due to cost.”
“I was a little disappointed that the majority of the machines were dirty. Overall this is a nice gym that has a lot of amenities. I really enjoy the sauna and hotub..for 34$ a month it's not a bad deal at all for what they have..just wish it was a tad cleaner. This review is specific to the Monterey location.”
“Very nice gym with excellent equipment, only complaints are there is only one Smith machine and the bathrooms could be cleaner. Especially not having Paper to dry your hands with in the bathroom is annoying.”
“Janell’s ritual yoga class was beautiful and well prepared. You can tell she put much love and intention into preparing. This is a truly unique studio, filled with love, deep spiritual roots, community focused and real.”
