Janice was so fun to hang out with. We came in from the rain and had a blast. It's a small tasting room but full of stories and ambiance. Think Cheers, but with wine. Loved it. Their cab franc and consortium wine are my recommendations.

First crush for Shale Canyon Wines was 2008 with our first bottle of wine sold in fall of 2009. Tasting room opened in December of 2012.
Shale Canyon Winery is 100% "Off-Grid" completely solar facility. Our 6.5 acre vineyard produces Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Mourvedre, Tempranillo and Petite Sirah.
We specialize in small lots of hand crafted varietals of Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah, Malbec, Mourvedre, Tempranillo, Syrah, Bordeaux Blends and Zinfandel.
Current production approximately 1500 cases per year.
