“Ami is one of those boutiques you wander into “just to look” and end up leaving with treasures (guilty). The shop is full of beautiful pieces, from thoughtful gifts to curated items by local artisans. I snagged two things from Good hYOUman. Love a brand with a story behind it. The whole space feels intentional and welcoming, and if you’re lucky, there’s coffee and a chocolate chip cookie waiting for you. Don’t skip the little garden out back—it’s a quiet gem.”

“This is my favorite store in the world! I did not realize they had one in Carmel. Probably a good thing :)! While it is a very small store it is packed with lots of wonderful clothes and accessories. So many cute winter items. A cashmere scarf I really wanted but I will wait for the end of the December sale. Unique and well made quality clothes. Things are pricey here! Speaking of sales... That is when I do my best shopping with J McLaughlin. Bought a cool blouse and tweed jacket yesterday. Summer and fall items that are gorgeous and on sale. Was not sure if I liked the small fit of the jacket so I ordered a medium and had it sent home so I can try. Easy returns via mail with no charge. The best thing about the Carmel store is the manager, Jessica! She is uber helpful and so sweet. She knows her clothing line also. That is why she is the manager :). One of the most helpful sales people I have run into as of late. Thank you, Jessica, for all your assistance and patience. Pretty cute picture of her I posted hanging in the doorway wearing all her J McLaughlin clothes. The cool thing is I can call her from my home in El Dorado Hills and have her order or ask questions about the items. How cool is that. I am pretty sure you could call her too. “I recently ordered an Hermes cardigan from their website. I received it within a few days and it was in excellent condition. Even though it's June, the last few days have been cloudy in Seattle and I haven't stopped wearing it since I received it! I will say that before purchasing the sweater I did reach out to their customer service via email to ask a question and never heard back. But love the fast shipping and the item nonetheless.”

“What a gem of. Shop. Ava has a wonderful collection of carefully curated couture. I got some amazing vintage black glass beads and iridescent beads and a pair of Tom Ford glasses. I have no idea if the prices were high or fair because I have never found glass bead vintafe necklaces. All i know is i loved them so I bought them.”
“Sharleen has the most unique European selection of imported Italian, French and British flare denim with Swarovski crystal embellishments of "Super Cars." Bought a dress 4 years ago after seeing it in the window. A luxuriously effortless and beautiful knit. Wore it when visiting a friend 3 summers ago: LACMA and dining out. It's a shame the the previous Yelp is making a speculation without entering the store. Provocation was most likely enacted. Living near this store have witnessed: Ladies patiently waiting outside to go in, menacing commotion obstructing the entrance and even pounding on the glass door yelling insults when the salesperson inside wouldn't unlock the door. There are clearly 2 signs on the door to call a phone number to enter the store. I'm just sorry I procrastinated posting this review. It's long overdue.”

“Went in with my wife. What a selection of unusual and stylish clothing. The gentleman at the store was very friendly and we had a long conversation. The store belongs to his wife, and when he told her covering the store for her was cutting into his practice time at home (he's learning to play the piano) she bought him an electric piano so he could practice at work. He doesn't think that's good for business so the piano is there but mostly unheard. Oy yes, the clothes, fun, different, and reasonably priced. But no piano.”
“I went in after seeing these absolutely gorgeous shoes in the window! They were handmade boots from Italy. The owner was so incredibly kind and told me the 14 year old story behind them and how she met the shoemakers. The quality is impeccable and something you won't find in any brand name store. I wore these beautiful boots for my college graduation and now I wear them whenever I feel spicy or to celebrate a special occasion (I'm wearing them now for my bday dinner!) The lady even called me when they got the BLUE ones in, I own the rose gold. I was nervous going into a small boutique because as a POC I've gotten rude remarks before but my experience here was nothing but surprisingly delightful and sweet. The owner even remembered to call me when the blue boots came in! (I forgot to call back so my next trip down I'll be crossing my fingers the blue shoes come in ?)”

The salesperson was an absolute sweetheart, very helpful and ready to answer questions. Just before I stopped in at Ms. Fabulous, I visited Girl Boy Girl. Dang, y'all. Some nice items, but waaaaaaaaaay out of my price range. Ms. Fabulous to the rescue! So glad I walked through the door.”
