“This place is PACKED with gorgeous clothing (dont want to label it but to me the overall style felt like a western bohemian), accessories, home decor, and so much more. The store has half womens and half mens, so it was nice for both my husband and i to be able to spend time looking through everything without worrying about whether the other person had enough to look at. The owner obviously adores her store and it definitely shows through all of the items she handpicked and how she’s decorated and maintained this lovely store. Would recommend checking it out.”

“The staff and service is absolutely amazing, they are always friendly and helpful. The shoes are amazing, vans are always my go-to, I've never been to this location and struggled to find my size. The shoes are pricey but with all the sales they offer and how long the shoes last it is worth it to me. I've been to a few locations and this one is definitely my favorite”

“Monterey Hot Topic is the best one I have ever shopped at. The store is always clean and easy to shop. Everything is where it should be and makes sense to the shopper. My youngest is a hardcore HT customer and only likes going into this location. From the first time I walked into this location customer service is more than amazing it's personal. They all take the time to look at my account and see my past purchases to make sure I'm not getting the same items or when I can't figure out what to get they suggest similar items. I have held the position in retail from a new associate all the way to DM and I would hire each person in there because of their outstanding customer service and dedication. In the 2 yrs that my kid and I have been shopping here I have never had a bad experience.”
“We stayed at the Intercontinental hotel which is basically right next to this store. It had some very cute clothes. I didn't expect it to be so chilly and we didn't exactly pack for cooler weather. I purchased some very nice sweatshirts. They were about $70 each. They were very nice quality and worth the price. There were some clearance sweatshirts around $25. Lots of souvenirs that were priced fairly well. The employees working were SO kind and so helpful. We were greeted when we walked into the store. I love that about a place. I hate when you walk into a shop and the workers just stare at you.”

“Absolutely ADORE this store! I traveled in from Ohio and realized there aren't many boutique shops in Monterey. I found this one on Google and had a beautiful walk along the coast to it. I had my arms full within minutes, eager to try on the cute outfits. I walked out with a big bag to take back home with me and remind me of this beautiful area! My mother taught me, that quality above all, isthe mark of a good product and the clothes I have bought from JJILLare of the best quality one coud have in a garment. “I worked with Heather and the store manager trying to find something that fit some more specific styles requests. They were so accommodating and did everything they could to make sure I found what I needed and the best fit for me. I have not had an experience to this level at a VS. I wish I lived locally so I could shop here more often!”
“This is an incredible store. The staff at this particular location are much friendlier and attentive than at my home store. We were greeted as we walked into the store, and the staff were quick to assist me in finding just the right shirts and sweaters I was looking for. Even the check out procedure went quickly. The cashier was very well trained and knew exactly what she was doing. I really appreciated the high standards of professionalism I found at this store. The manager here has done a great job training the team members.”
“Really off brands. Prices are remarkable since they are off brands created for Macys, any brand name items that happens to be in the backstage stage shop expect to pay atleast a 10% markdown only because they are in the Backstage Shop. However, I did find a couple bargains for myself.”
“This is a small shopping center but great stores there! I hadn't been there in a while and I was so surprised to see free people there and Anthropologie! There is a variety of stores from high end and your typical stores you see at the mall. Also there are food options to grab and go or sit down at a restaurant!”

“I have found that for a retail store, Soma is heads above V.S. in quality of product. Yes, Soma stores carry less options than the competitor, but they dont need it. Everything is the highest quality and with the discounts, sales and points you earn on purchasing.... you rarely spend too much! I am a Soma woman for life!!!”
“This place is small but with lots of items.We didn't have too much time to look through all the areas since there are large amounts of items. Not sure if it was new or had little of opening at this location but we could not find it on Yelp.The employee was kind, helpful and she was very friendly. The clothes looked good; nothing stood out for us but the prices were pretty "typical" of a thrift store. Definitely cheaper than the usual Goodwill stores.It is not the best organized store and it's not where you come to find "anything" you need but rather whenever you're not looking for anything and have time to look through things. Some items looked old and maybe some not useful while others looked old and could be considered "vintage". Overall an okay place to at least check out at least once.”

The owner was the most beautiful person inside and out and somehow juggled the inquiries of every customer.
