“01/20/24 My friend and I wanted to walk after a meal, so we walked 4th street. She is much older than me and has lived in this part of Long Beach for many years. I've walked by this store many times, my son used to live across the street for years, so why have I never stepped foot in here? I guess it's because of my upbringing. Palm readings and devil stuff are a no-no and it always used to scare me. I totally perceived this store wrong. They have themes in sections which I am obsessed with. Their organization is 10/10. All the sections have a little of everything. Stickers, pens, socks, bags, journals, ceramic figurines or vases. One theme is plants and on the front of a journal read 'Diary of a plant killer'. I found that hilarious because I am that person. There's a section of women empowerment items with a 5 pen set where some read 'mom, mama, mommy, mooooom' and 'welcome to the shit show'. I bypassed the Prince (purple rain) and other celebrity prayer candles and all things devil. Just not my jam. I did however love everything else. Overall 10/10. Great place for funny and clever themed gift items. I now know where to go for them.”

It's going about 6 almost when I moved into the neighborhood and it was the first smoke shop I could find and it's been my only smoke shop since. Great service and selection always. “This is a very fine , non-profit store. The staff is mostly volunteers and are extremely helpful. Most of the merchandise is hand-made...The vibe is very positive in this store. There is something for everyone...I bring friends here every chance I get. If you are in the Riveria Village, it's a must stop.”

“Gosh I love these Terranea shops!! Between Pointe Discovery and Marea I could spend hours shopping. Such unique items. They don't overprice their items, for example JellyCat is sold at both Marea and Pointe Discovery. Most tourist shops at resorts would up charge $10-$20. Not Terranea. Same price as you would spend online to order some of these adorable toys. My kids go nuts when I ask if they want to walk around and shop at Terranea. They have such a great time. Mainly because Krystal is always so so sweet - and I love her style! Her outfits are always so on brand with the resort. So stylish. Lilly is also amazing and so sweet! I've seen a couple grumpy folks shopping in my many times visiting these boutiques and Lilly and Krystal are always so patient and kind... Terranea is lucky to have them!”

“Checked out Huckleberry's Pen simply because of yelp reviews of Boomer. Just moved in the area. Boomer is amazing. Knows his stuff and honest on price with quality. Told him the flavor profile I was looking for in a cigar and enjoying it now. It tastes great and price is very good for quality. I highly recommend for new cigar smokers to even veteran I am in between and will recommend to anyone. Great selection and better owner. Cheers to a well tan business”
“We LOVE Gum Tree. The cafe is outstanding. Excellent, healthy, fresh, and always tasty bites. Coffee, espresso, chai, teas made to perfection. The baristas are sweet, cool and service is on point. Lori and hubby are awesome. Great patio to take in passersby. Local, non bougie. We love bringing our out of town friends/family and when they return Gum Tree is first on the list to revisit. That is not only because they love the cafe but because the shop is soooo wonderful. So many beautiful things. So beautifully curated. It feels good the moment you walk in. We always find the perfect gifts for any conceivable occasion.The jewelry is stunning. The home goods....!! Every year a new ornament, or two, for the tree. “I love shades of Africa, from the atmosphere to Ms. Renee being so welcoming. The products are amazing. Most stores if not all when you go in to purchase items such as hair products or skin products they can only be used for those specific things. With the many handmade products at Shades of Africa there may be a description such as hair oil or body wash but they can be used all over and I love that. You get quality products! I pick up products in stores and wonder why all of those harmful ingredients are needed to make things as simple as lotion or body wash, it’s not necessary. I can shop here and not have to worry about about any cancer causing chemicals or harsh dyes. You’re also helping out many small black owned businesses even some from other countries such as Kenya. I get majority of my skin, body, and hair care products and will continue to do so. I love being able to support small black owned businesses and I’m grateful to have found a store that sells amazing natural products.”
