“From the DELi here, we love the generous Salami sandwich on the Sourdough Roll, heavily delicious tri-tip sandwich on Dutch Crunch bread or Sourdough Roll, Hot Pastrami on French Roll, Tuna Melt. The sammys are stacked so perfectly they stay neat when eating despite being so full of meat & balanced w/ fresh toppings. We always enjoy the fruit bowls & chicken salad & plan to try that on a sandwich soon. Peroshkis available, outstanding chicken teriyaki & rice w/ broccoli & carrots, soups or a nice hearty chili, some Korean specialties, ice cream, Torani snow cones, fresh meats & sausages to cook at home, & to go green garden salads & various salads.

The longtime family owned DELi inside has great fresh food options & He often closes the DELi counter around 5:30 weekdays 2:30 Sat, closed Sunday, located inside the market to Right 🥪🫶🌁 The sandwich shop side has been going since the 50s and has had the same owner over ~20yrs, he's great! Nicely remodeled as well, busy stop for workers at lunchtime or a take-home bite after the workday.

“La Grande Market is a really nice local market in Hayward. I like stopping here because it’s convenient and they always have what I need. The store is clean and everything is well organized, which makes it easy to find things quickly. Ali is always there with a smile and great customer service. He’s very kind and helpful, and he treats customers like regulars even if it’s your first time there. That kind of service makes a big difference. Overall it’s a great neighborhood market and definitely deserves five stars.”

“They have malasadas now, it was cooked perfectly and they have flavored ones, I got the chocolate, lemon and lilikoi filled. the lilikoi was delicious and included the passion fruit seeds...so fresh!! The lady at the counter had a steaming pot of fresh tamales. I got 2 and kicked myself because they were so tasty and moist. I want more, I will go there again next week..”

“best deli EVER!!! The sandwich I had yesterday on my first visit was one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever had ! so good. I went back today and tried their chicken bacon and avocado sandwich. Staff is Hella cool I got a great special order board. I mean just gourmet sandwiches at a really reasonable price I'm amazed. I'm gonna be a regular customer for sure and it feels like I'm having a healthier meal Blessings.”

“Pretty good grocery store. I bought 2 pieces of cakes which were a bit dry. I had high expectations for it but it's not an bakery so It's a pass. The security there makes it safer. The customer service could be better- overall good.”
“A true hidden gem in town! This is not your typical neighborhood convenience store, it’s part mini-market, part deli, and packed with drinks, accessories, and just about anything you might suddenly need on the go. If you’re nearby or just passing through, this place is a must stop for cheap, delicious eats made fresh to order, sandwiches, fried chicken, milkshakes... You name it.
The candy and ice cream selection is impressive, with tons of variety for every craving. What really stands out, though, is the service: the staff is incredibly friendly and fast, even when the store is full. Great food, great prices, and great people, definitely worth checking out!”

“- It's a great store where you can find almost anything, and the seller is an honest and respectable person. The only drawbacks are the dim lighting and the lack of price tags on the items, which means you have to ask the seller for prices frequently.”
“Small but this store is packed with every thing u could think of and more.. the owner just did a complete remodel of the store it's so nice inside... lighting and new artwork .. any bottle of liquor that you are looking for they have... nice big wine beer and mixed drinks .. section as well.. I had been looking for these can Paloma's .. (I had in Mexico) can here and they were here I was so excited.. they also keep bottles in the fridge which is very convenient...small store with lots of traffic.. they get you in and out.. parking isn't the best but it's worth stopping in .. owner is so nice and humble man”

“My love for Mi Carnal runs so, so deep. Where else can you get large avocados for 3 for $1 or two honeydews for $1? Or in the summer, 20 limes for $1? Or 2 lbs of navel oranges for $1? I mean the specials here are actually crazy. I regularly walk out of here with 20lb of groceries for around 10 bucks. Yes, the groceries outside are definitely some type of salvage and should be carefully chosen and then eaten IMMEDIATELY (or as soon as you can manage). Sure, everything else in the market is priced pretty normally. But seriously, how did this neighborhood get so lucky? This is THE spot for very ripe groceries at an incredible price.”

“La Esperanza TriColor is a Mexican grocery that's been here a few years. there's limited parking nearby. found parking in front. offerings: meat dept. fruits & vegetables, mex. groceries, snacks, dairy, tamales, etc. eats: sweet corn, pork tamale (total: 4.98) 100% mexican -passed on chicken (usually dry) and cheese chili -the cream corn one was bigger, had cream corn embedded thruout tamale. -the pork meat was red coloured, slightly peppery in taste. yummy taste. -didn't look for drink since mex. drinks are also very sweet. *tamale tray is at left side of entrance.”
