The Rodeway Inn Chico University Area is a family-owned hotel noted for its clean, cozy, and comfortable rooms. Guests frequently describe the rooms as large, neat, and immaculate, with crisp white sheets and no bugs. The property is praised for its pleasant, warm, and welcoming staff and management. The grounds are well-maintained with many plants and trees, showing evident care. However, the hotel has several notable issues. Some rooms suffer from an inconvenient design, such as a desk wall lacking electrical outlets, forcing guests to use plugs elsewhere. The bathroom faucets may offer only warm or hot water, with no cold option. The free wifi is often unreliable and mostly won't connect. Noise from appliances like the refrigerator can be disruptive. The building's exterior is seen as outdated with unappealing graffiti, needing a fresh coat of paint. The location is considered unfortunate by some. Additionally, the rooms are sometimes described as smallish, and contacting the hotel before 3 PM check-in can be difficult. Despite these flaws, many find it a quiet, safe, and affordable place with decent included breakfast, leading some guests to recommend it or state they would stay again.
I like staying here unless there is an event in town. Prices soar.

Love this place already. Very clean rooms as well as property. The staff was pleasant. My favorite part is all the plants and trees you can tell someone puts allot of effort into it. Not your average parking lot plants. Definitely will be staying here again.
