Sun Outdoors San Diego Bay is an upscale resort located just outside San Diego on stunning San Diego Bay. It offers vacation rentals, RV sites, and many amenities with a Southern California vibe. The park is very well-maintained with pretty bay views, spacious and level sites, and good hookups. Every site has a picnic table and a gas fire pit. Facilities are wonderful, including a beautiful pool, hot tubs, a sky deck lounge, a cafe with very good food, a bar, a camp store, and clean restrooms and showers. There is great walking and biking right outside the gate, and it is close to everything. The atmosphere varies; it is great for families with kids and dogs but can become very busy, loud, and unruly on weekends, transforming into a party central. It becomes much calmer and quieter on weekdays. The spaces are close together. While security is good with gated entry and patrols, thefts have occurred. The park is in a location described as kind of sketchy, close to a vagrant population. A significant drawback is a constant sewage smell that worsens in the evening. Overall, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the resort provides a nice experience for those seeking an exciting escape.
Very clean and organized. Sites are spacious and comfortable. I enjoyed all of the amenities and they kept the kids entertained for a sane value. Lots of good interesting sites and food nearby.

Every site is a premium site here with premium sites going above and beyond with fire pits, bbqs or even a mini fridge. The park is clean and the atmosphere is fun and playful. We enjoyed the bike parade. The bar tender was great and the pool view is wonderful. I will definitely come back.
