“Palomar Valero was fine. While using the U-Haul app, I secured the rental at Postal Annex for pick up on a day that they are not open. The pick up directions are terrible. I called Postal Annex and U-Haul the day before my pick-up date. Both reps said to make sure you have a 24/7 rental and pick up instructions will be given to you at the time of pick up. I asked specifically if the rental van or the building will have secure coded box for me to retrieve the keys and the response was that they do not tell that information until pick up time. I understand the need for security. What is unclear is U-Haul does not tell you that pick up is 2 miles away and you really get the rental van at another U-Haul location. U-Haul, either be more clear in pick up directions, get a lock box on the bldg, or stop allowing rentals on a Sunday at Postal Annex on Saturn Blvd.”
“The instructions that the U-Haul app gave were to find the truck first and then go get the keys. But at this location, the trucks are parked in the back side of the building, like a commercial loading area of a shopping mall, which is very difficult to find. I got lucky that I found it. And it's on the opposite side of where the storefront is. So once you find the truck that you are renting and find the number, you have to then drive all the way back around to the front to get to the front entrance of the postal annex. I think the instructions should be to talk to the person in the postal annex first, and then they would be able to give you instructions on where the truck is, instead of asking the customer to find the truck first before going to talk to the person to get the keys.”
“Was going to get a U-Haul until I found out they have a new policy requiring them to: call (2) friends or references, call your work, copy your passport, or copy your lease agreement. This is apparently now done to ensure their trucks get returned. I will never rent from U-Haul again. Penske was a hassle free process from beginning to end. Good customer service from Home Depot employees and the trucks are MUCH newer and nicer than U-Haul for the same price. Power mirrors, windows, and locks. All my future moving truck rentals will be from Penske.”

“While understaffed and quite busy with calls, this place is efficient and gets work done professionally and in a timely manner. Not only was I helped right away, they noticed an error in my reservation that would have otherwise ruined my move. Normally with issues like this, other businesses tend to blame the customer and provide unhelpful phone numbers with automated responses that simply don’t help. Instead they upgraded my reservation and helped me get the things I needed right away. Wow, I can’t praise them enough for their excellent customer service and care for their product experience. Thank you for a seamless experience, which, in turn, caused my move to be much less stressful. 10/10”
“I have rented a 5x9 trailer with a ramp a couple of times from here and towing with my RV. The lot is across the road from the mechanic shop and the guys here have always been very attentive and friendly. I rent from uhaul often to tow my golf cart for camping trips and other locations are hard to navigate their lot or parking situation due to my large size RV. And also most places have a wait while they attend other customers or have bad customer service or not help. The guys here have always been helpful and zero issues. So I'm definitely giving a 5 star to this place.”
